  1. I'd pour any of it down the drain to keep the pipes clean and to help the sewage treatment plant out. I don't drink anything that has an alcoholic content as it's basis for consumption. I'm not a Bible Thumper, to each is own, but I just don't need the problems that it provides(headaches, feeling stupid, DUI'd, and the list goes on). Scott (can feel like an idiot without it) B
  2. Open gun was built by Oliver Hayden of Oliver's Guns in Little Rock, AR. It is one of the finest guns ever built......a lot of time and effort was put into building this firearm. If the gun has stopped running, it's definitely not because the builder did something wrong, I take full credit. Gun was built around the 175PF standards. Normally loaded to the 178-180PF range to insure temperature variations of travelling north and south in the summer seasons(when most of the competitions are held). Bullet of choice has always been the Remington 124RN with 11.7grains AA#7 and Small Mag Primer. Thing is, everything is already set-up to run the way it does and I just don't want to start with the "re-invention of the wheel-thing". Re-building the guns spring set-up and cutting off ports, building new reloads and adjusting the Dillon 550B. Firm believer in the K.I.S.S. theory! Just glad to know that the gun that was built 9yrs ago is still at the top of the food chain.....and hopefully I can once again get to the "B"-class shooting I once enjoyed! Scott (see ya at the range) B
  3. Given the choice......which one would you carry into competition? I have both of them and would be hard pressed to pick just one, thought since I was getting back into the game locally, I'd need to pick one. I'll leave it to the members here on this site! Scott (really going to embarrass myself) B
  4. Been 7 years since I've been able to shoot any matches whatsoever. I know, far too long! But I've had many other life related matters... As the topic title suggested, I was wondering if my STI/Caspain/12-port hybrid comp'd 9x23 outdated? I'm still shooting the "old" power factor, and the gun runs great. I've tried running the "new" power factor and have found this to be very non-productive! Cycling seems very slow and steel isn't dropping with authority(could be my practice steel is too heavy?). I would hate to spend any amount to get down to the power factor now in place, as I like the way the handgun handles now. Is the "old" power factor considered as an unsafe gun? Open to any and all remarks.............thanks! Scott (gonna try to look like a fool again) B
