Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Sounds like a function test in the backyard. Would have been quite upset, and voiced my opinion on why I wouldn't be back. Would expect a minimum of 50 per gun and at least three stages....even if it meant helping set-up stage#2 and stage#3! Shoot all stages with both firearms. Scott B
  2. Okay, now it's a tie. My stuff is nice(used, not abused). I know that no one gets back 100%, but how do you figure what a good starting point for a sale price on a firearm is? Build list, forget the labor that was paid for, and then subtract 15-20%. Have 4-140mm and 4-170mm mags.....should all of the magazines go with the firearm if the sale is split? Scott (a tie, now what?) B
  3. Planning on selling my racegun soon, and was wondering if it makes the "deal sweeter" if the gear goes with the firearm? Is it something you'd look for when buying a gun? Can't hurt my feelings....let me have your opinions! Scott (just wondering) B
  4. First link works just fine. Second link doesn't show video? Says something about being invited?? Welcome to the board! Scott B
  5. Do the upper ranks use them(A, M, or GM)? Or is it a gimeck for the new guys to buy into for the "fast" shotgun reload? I can't seem to get the "hang-of-it", and am probably gonna dump mine in the classifieds. Tried using 'em for quite awhile....I'm just not very good with them. Scott (make someone a deal) B
  6. +1 Same here in Maine.. Only freezing rain stops matches here. Get some of the hand pocket warmers (chemical activated) to keep the trigger hand warm between stages. I grew up in Maine, but I tend to dislike the chore of snow removal! Arkansas does me just fine these days....it was 65*F yesterday, and today(although rainin'), it's still 45*F. Might get cold tonight, but it'll be warmin' up before the week is through. Freezin' rain here shuts down the whole state...never mind a shootin' match! Scott (keep the cold and snow) B
  7. I have also noticed the lack of a few bands/artists I would enjoy listening to... but money seems to be the root of all evil! Also noticed that unless you own a iPod(insert model), can't download music from iTunes(unless you rip it to CD...and there is a counter on that privilege). Good luck! Scott B
  8. The only cheap, if you can call it that, .308Winchester ammuntion I've shot....is something I've reloaded. Although, when I'm in a pinch, I'll use some BlackHills remanufactured stuff I have laying around. Good luck on the quest of cheap ammo! Scott B
  9. I like my screwdriver's without orange juice! Scott B
  10. Must be Global-Warming! Hope you have a safe, and warmer weekend! Scott (it's cold here too-56*F) B
  11. Thought the reason for the 5" guns being taken out was "Wilson wasn't making them"! He runs the game, and if you aren't buying his equipment, your not welcome.... Just the way I was treated when I attended a local IDPA match. They wouldn' even let me shoot for fun(no score). What the heck, it's my CW gun? Scott (some of us got big hands) B
  12. Don't get me wrong......I really like my area that I work. And understand that without the customer....I'd still be building houses...in the cold, hot, whatever. The special people that can't find things in front of them, "Where's the restroom?"(while standing 5 feet from it).....etc, how do they get up and do anything without someone to hold their hand? 45shooter....my hats off to you! Retail for that long deserves some kind of award! Congrats!! Scott B
  13. Probably not the best advise, but here goes anyway! Hang pistol barrel with muzzle pointing down, and spray comp area with carb. cleaner, or electrical parts cleaner(the kind in a spraycan)...until the liquid dripping runs clear. If the stubborn stuff stays stuck, I just use a large bottle of Hoppe's(soak awhile), and repeat above process. My comp isn't spotless, but it is cleaned to my standards..... Don't forget to run some patches through the bore after doing this, to remove anything that may have been blasted into it! Scott B
  14. I think it's more then just the club nearest to me, as I was asked to see my NRA card at three other ranges. But I'm glad to know that USPSA probably doesn't require this. Scott B
  15. Now that's funny......I don't care who ya are! My decapping pin broke somewhere around 12,500(give or take), but it wasn't a Dillon die......it came in a green box. Scott B
