Quick question for this thread, will a SX2 barrel work on the SX3? I have a Flanigun with the 28" barrel. I want a shorter barrel for a local match and I don't want to cut the original barrel. Thanks!

I've been shooting a SX3 for the past couple of months. It is very soft recoiling and very fast. I just wish I had a shorter barrel. Mine is a 28".

S&W uses a Millett dovetailed front sight on some of their PC revolvers. You'll have a hard time finding something to replace that sight. One guy on the S&W Forum swapped his out for a FO rifle sight but I don't know who manufactured it. I replaced the Millett front sight on my PC-646 and Carry-Comp with a S&W built Patridge sight.

Okay, the Mesa Tactical side saddle fits BUT if you tighten it down too much on the front it binds the bolt. Use one washer on the front and two on the back works on mine. Edited for a better photo.

After some advice from a local gunsmith, I bought a Winchester SX3 Flanigun. I ordered an extension today. Does anyone make a side saddle shell carrier for the SX3?

Okay, I shot my first 2-gun match yesterday with a 870P. I had some issues related to PD training; we train with the chamber empty to start, so I shucked out 2 live rounds at the start of two stages...dumb. I saw a few M-2s etc., SLPs, 870s, 1100s and Mossies. I have found a 1100P for a decent price. Is the M-2 21" worth nearly twice the price of the 1100P? Thanks again!

OK, I've been looking for a M2 with a 21" barrel without success. I have found a couple of M2 Tactical Basics that look nice. What is the opinion of this model with the 18.5" barrel for 3-gun?

I have one now and enjoy it very much. I haven't shot IDPA in quite a while so I can't speak from actual IDPA experience with the SSR. However, I have shot with a stock 686 in the past. If I were shooting now, there is no doubt I'd take the SSR with me. Mine has a great trigger, balances well, and the interchangeable front sight system is just the best. Mine is sporting a .250 height green Hi-Viz right now. I also have a McGivern gold bead, a plain Patridge and the stock red ramp for different purposes. It is also wearing Miculek grips now. The factory Altamonts are nice but just too pretty to carry. Mine has become my favorite revolver for self-defense or work. That is over two PC-686 Carry Comps, a PC tuned 686, and a PC-646.
