  1. MSA Sordin are the best I've tried

+ 1. I love my Sordins. They reduce the sound not clip it. That means I can still hear even when shots are going off. This is really helpful when ROing matches
Several of the top muffs will do the same for much less and with better noise reduction. I know a few guys that tried sordins and they had to double plug because the noise reduction just isn't there. Pro ears are just as good but they are heavy ear crushers. The best I have found are the tactical pros. Great noise reduction, great electronics and around $200

Here is an interesting article on NRR numbers for hearing protection

I use the MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X with gel cups. Get them from SRS Tactical.

  2. if it were me and it was for USPSA I'd buy the CGW pro package Shadow ($1375) and then send it to CZC for an accu bushing upgrade so it'll basically be an accu shadow with the nice CGW sear and disco in it.

Second option would be a CZC or mink accu-shadow.

If it were for USPSA Production Division, would adding the accu bushing be an allowable modification? It's my understanding that you can buy an AccuShadow for Prod Div, but not create from from an existing Shadow.

  3. I've been thinking about why Dillon does not offer a .380 conversion for the feeder. Seems to me the lower section, plunger, ramp, ect, is simple. It must be the upper section. The short, light cases may not orient reliably out of the bowl.

Sure would help me if they would get something. I have two 550's with case feeders for 9mm. The only way for me to do 380 ( without a third 550) is to resize and prime on a single stage press and hand feed into the powder station on my 550 .380 tool head. It works, but it would be fun to use the whole system.

I would be willing to hand load tubes if Dillon would offer the conversion parts for the lower end.

Wouldn't the lower end for 9mm work to push .380 cases into station #1?

I'm guessing the cases would/could turn in the tube as they dropped. My 9mm cases used to do this before Dillon sent me the aluminum sleeve for the upper tube.
