So you're OK that he has already shot a stage with illegal equipment? Do you think his competitors feel the same way?
5.2.5.2 Says nothing about previous stages. It is pretty specific about a competitor who fails the maximum distance and how far the equipment can extend. It says, "immediately adjust to comply with the requirements....The RM may make allowances.....
The other competitors feelings are not my concern as the RO.

How do you handle a shooter that comes to your stage with the below the top of the belt issue, but has already shot a number of stages?
Just fix it. If he wants to make a big deal about it--RM to Stage whatever and let the RM handle it.

xdmmaster, it was a reload. That is why I'm sure the kaboom is on me, hopefully just the frame and the extractor needs to be replaced/worked on.
Just curious--What powder ?

Spartin
I have a slightly tricked-out Spartan and it has been great. I run a 9 lb. recoil spring and a 17 lb. mainspring, and it cycles slicker than snot. 100% reliable with 10 round Tripp Cobra and Wilson ETM magazines.
Spartan is the least expensive. Magwell and extended mag release. Runs great if I do my part.

One of the guys at our club has changed over to this setup and he likes it.
If I needed a blast shield because of barrel holes, I would go this route since the sideways mounts won't let you use a shield.
Also, this setup clears the path for ejected brass.
Maybe in the future, the RTS2 will be available with a larger dot.
Nice but too expensive for me to switch over my guns to this.
RTS2 has a model with 6 MOA dot now.

Show me any wording in the WSB addressing the order of strings.
CM 13-04
String 1: On signal, turn and engage ...
String 2: On signal, turn and engage ....
The enumeration seems to specify an order.
and he says
If it said String 2: On signal, turn and engage....
String 1: On signal, turn and engage....
Would you still say the enumeration seems to specify an order....
Does it change anything? scoring? give a competitor any advantage shooting either string first or second?
Actually, yes the numbers specify an order, because the strings are still differentiated by number. The WSB does not specify that the competitor can shoot the course in any order he desires, therefore, it must be shot in the order the strings are numbered. Otherwise, why would other courses of fire with multiple strings specifically say you can do it in whatever order the competitor desires?
Moderator: Did not mean to Hijack thread. This is a different question, but does apply because he could have shot this way also. Split it out to another topic if you want.
WSB says: "START POSITION:Standing in Area A, facing uprange, fingers touching head above ears. Gun loaded and holstered "
Now we go to Stage Procedure.
My points are (1). IF you START on STRING 1 or STRING 2, there is no advantage/disadvantage to any competitor. (2)There is no skewing of the classifier results. So, starting on string 1 or 2 is moot.
The most you could argue is 1 procedural for not following WSB; however, NROI did not agree with a procedural or reshoot when the same thing happend on another classifier worded the same way.

If he shot string 2 first, then he forgot to reload and engage T3.String 2, shoot T1 and T3. No misses,no extra shots, no extra hits. 2 procedurals for shooting each string out of order?
The WSB does not state the "Order" of the strings. It specifies the start position, but not the string order. Many folks assume String 1 means order, but it is just a "name" for the purpose of recording score and time. Even though we score targets after both strings have been shot, we record the time separately and the total required hits per target are the same.
Show me any wording in the WSB addressing the order of strings. In addition, there is no advantage if someone shoots String 2 first or second.
I'm not saying he did shoot String 2 first. In his case, he screwed the pooch no matter what. Had he reloaded and shot T3--No harm, no foul.

Anyone have experience with shifting from a 90-mounted cmore to the rts? How was the change?
The shift is easy. Shifting back is even easier. The C-more is just BETTER!

And your would be?
He fires the 6 rounds at T1, performs the mandatory reload and engaged T3 with 6 rounds on String 1

I dislike a whole lot of things, but I rarely use the word hate. It is such a strong, pessimistic word. Having said that, I HATE becoming a Super Senior
There is ALWAYS a positive side. Many shooters never reach Super Senior status. Your to young to hate.

Mat, the long Brazos Zig Racker should work for you
Great slide racker, but it is to long. Had to shorten 1/4 .

Still out of stock! You would think a company would crank up production when they see how popular their product is.

Note to BOD.
When rules are changed, post the corrected page in PDF. We can download the page and change our rule books. Many of us follow the rules.

Anyone have any problems with a lot of stovepipes? It seems that my brass is ejecting to high and bouncing off my cmore back in to my chamber causing a stovepipe or close to that effect. My guess would be too long of an ejector or maybe too much tension on the extractor. Any advise on the matter would be appreciated thanks
If it ran before and just started, extractor is your problem.

I think the only one I found was Briley. Power Factor Shooting is where I got mine. I have 20k or so on mine.

I've used all except SP2 and they all work great. Go with the always available and your good to go on the 550 with those powders.

Three 170s and 4 140s. One spare 170 on the belt and one spare 140 and the one I reload. Depends on the stage.

Keep us posted Kevin. Hopefully, it will pass! Tell them you want demerol (spelling). That will take the edge off.
My ex had stones and once they gave her a shot of that stuff, you could hit her in the head with a hammer and she would just grin.

I see APW recommended several times. What Should I expect to pay for frame and top end, including small controls? And what type of timeline should I expect?
Thanks
You can expect 4 to 6 weeks. If you have any parts Bright polished, it takes a little longer to shine em up. APW has the cost on their web site, but I would call to confirm the price.

There is no problem with the barrel, but it would not hurt to load to OAL of 1.125 to 1.135.
It is obvious the first case has buldged. There are numerous causes of the case buldge and one sure remedy LEE Under size die. It will catch any buldge and correct it. It will also require you to use case lube!
Make sure you are not belling so much as to cause the case to buldge. I have seen once fired range brass with the buldges and a normal sizing die will not remove the buldge. Some folks are running hot 9 Major loads and the brass will buldge also.
-
APW has also treated me right! One limited and 4 open guns for me.

Is the comp with or without popple holes ?
Changing 38 super gun to 38sc?
in Open Pistols

You could--but why would you want to? 9 Major is a very hot load and we load 9s to major PF to compete in Open. I don't know anybody else who would shoot 9 major in any other gun than a gun designed to compete in Open.
