This optic interests me for PCC, why do you like it more than the 510C?

it's very bright even in sunny day. It's fast coz of the shape or reticle. It's auto on/off. Not afraid of rain. It's sharp&crisp with my astigmatism. Yes, it eats off some of the pov couse of being bigger but it's ok for me due to I use both of my eyes for targeting. No parallax coz of being prism. Win win i suppose. M.b. it's worth consider a new x1 Prism from Swampfox that is somewhat the same.

I've tried a vortex spitfire 1x prism, I have a stigmatism so the etched reticle and choice between red or green is great.  I felt like reticle is just a bit too busy, wish they had a single dot option.  If you're going to be shooting out to distance (az pcc championship) the turret could come in quite handy.

I have already bought a PA x1 microprism. I like it more than my Holosun 510

About to pull the trigger (lol) on a Vortex Venom Red Dot for my GMR-15. Anyone have any real world experience with one for PCC? Thanks

it's ok for me. Glass seems small from the beginning but dot is all you need here solid choice for pcc.

I tried a Blade, didnt care for it. DM me if you would like it.

I’ve tried Holosuns, Eotech, Aimpoint t1 and t2, Trij MRO HD, and a Blade prism.  Put a DPP on the new JP5. So far with my old eyes eith astig, it seems to flare the least. Plus it is low so mechanical offset is about as low as you can get. Plus there is minimal material around the optic making it easier to pick up targets. YMMV.

Thanks..i have already got SLx PA x1 Microprism last week ..so far so good. Faster pickup / clear but a bit heavier and messing with diopters

  5. The main problem with a laser is - it's solo purpose is to start with it on a lonely popper from a hip..meanwhile the more you train the faster you will draw a gun to a torso and make a precise shot to this same popper. Personally i can now draw and shoot faster then i jerk a safety on hip level hoping to not to lose a pointer at the same time and then after all this 90% of the time i still need to rise a rifle and push it to the torso

What brand of upper do you have?

I have three of them. Many of my shooting friends have them.

Because we all have billet uppers, all we had to do is shave down the part that rides against the receiver.

Very easy to do with a file or grinder if your careful.

They will go on a forged receiver with no mods.

Yes, i had to grind 3mm of that part too. Main problem is i have a V-AR from CZ it's a lever delayed system and it's upper a bit uncommon

What makes you say that? Its basically impossible to over weight a 9mm direct blowback.

Or is that just your general rule for a competition setup?

Yes, my bad should have specified that's personal experience for a ~130pf. To overweight - no..make in clunky - yes/mb ..For a factory load it's just a "pick a latest gun on the market try it shortstroking mb add some fancy buffer and that's all..After you would spend hours and $$+ testing something there will be a newer fancy something that will overrull all what you have tested and "invented" by that time"  //imho
