Hi, I'm using the indoors. The smaller size is meant to replicate larger targets at a smaller distance. I only use them to get subconsciously used to all types of different target types and to get high levels of repetition and train fundamental skills and techniques (amongst others ASP + calling shots), not really in stages.

Update: About the wiggling of the pouches and magnets: DAA contacted me and stated that it's best to install the brackets with screws directly onto the hinges, and not on the links themselves. This will improve the fit and avoind wiggling of the gear.

Update 25072021: Lynx belt was still a little to large, which made the holster stand off the inner belt and the magnet and pouches wiggle alot. I removed a link and repositioned the holster. Update after next IPSC training.

I recently ordered and received the newest DAA Lynx belt system. I put it together for my open handgun and my PCC rigs. I wanted to share my initial observations, tips and points of attention. I have heard that this thing is hard to clear if something gets down the ramp that shouldn't... thoughts? Very interested in buying one for my Evo.
So far the Primer Xpress runs great, no issues yet. No blocking.

In Belgium we don't really have a choice. I would say 98% of all shooting ranges are indoors. Very few are outdoors. If I would have a choice, I'd prefer outdoor ranges, amongst the above mentioned pro's, also less lead intake. DVC!

Everything depends on your personal and financial situation and the amount of time and passion you want to invest in it. As far as divisions and specific guns are concerned, go to your local club and talk to fellow shooters and try out different guns to see what feels best and is the most fun to you.

I also shoot in open major and use the "Sordin Supreme PRO-X BLAZE with LED and GEL". Great fit and ability to adapt noise filtration.

As stated by Lanny, Steve and others, the higher the classification level, the more important is the mental aspect of shooting. Also important is the HF math. GM's are also always very consistent in their shooting.

Hi guys, that's a tricky question. I don't believe in a gun being the best. It depends on a wide range of parameters: available budget (purchase/mags/spare parts/upgrades), availability of spare parts/upgrades, primary/secondary/training gun, classification/skill level and most importantly how the gun actually feels in your hands during a practical shooting training (not just shooting some rounds on a paper target on the range). Try before you buy. DVC!

Try both ways and see what feels best FOR YOU and what impact it has on technique and timing during test runs at the range.

Thank you for the review. It is much larger and louder than expected. Is it really as loud as it appears to be in the video? Any additional footage of the Xpress in operation?
Hi, I did not modify the audio in the video, so it is what it is . As soon as I'm more familiar with it and have made more rounds, I'll make another video.

Splits are important, but less critical than transitions. Trying to improve, i.e. decrease, your time on target and position transitions will improve your hit factor faster, better and more consistent, than trying to achieve faster splits.
