  1. How do you get competent volunteers to staff these matches for free?  Having worked the VA state match a handful of times (but no longer), I had to dedicate 4 days, with 2 days off from work, to volunteer.  Meals were covered but I lived close enough (90 min away) that I didnt take the shared hotel room that was offered.  I know other ROs came from much further away and some people took off a week plus prior to the match to build the stages.  While I agree that the money situation is a s#!t show, I cant see how you can draw people into volunteer, and keep the stages running smoothly, without covering costs of food/lodging for volunteers.  Im on the fence on the travel costs to get down there as there may be a middle ground between contracting stage builders/resetters vs flying people in and potentially hiding money spent on board members to be there within the volunteer line item of the budget.

I'm considering rescinding my membership- I know they wont refund the out years- and not bothering with anything level 2 or above.

Quantico is going to PCSL too.

USPSA offers the classification system that wont easily be replaced, if you want to compare performance.   BUT, I can just as easily shoot a classifier and make that comparison to HF's on their app anyway.

Full PCSL or every other month like it is now?  I didnt shoot this month, but dont remember Frank mentioning a full transition to PCSL in the past.

  3. I was about to place an order with TTI as I gather pieces for my PCC build, but after doing some cursory research saw that there were issues with their extensions on PCC.  Is that still the case, and if so, what is the better option going forward?  I saw MBX and TF have extensions but Im seeing notes of issues with them too.

How’s the reset on it ?

Its short and crisp.  I dont have any round count, but we were instructed on them in the armorer class as well as installing them in the G19s.  Its a step up and has the dot connector, not the minus but you can swap one in. It breaks nice and clean and resets nicely. I havent played with the Timney to compare.

Immortal Arms has the VP primer pocket reamer for the 1050/1100.

I doubt Dillon will release anything like this.  Sad to say, but feels like Dillon is not doing much innovation these days while the competition (Mark 7, Frankford Arsenal) is spending money on R&D and release new products.

After hearing shotguns going to well over $20,000 I do not feel as bad spending what I did for at RIA VR80 and having work done to it.

$20?  I shot skeet competitively, and poorly, when stationed at Bragg.  Back in that 06-09 time frame I saw many 40-100k guns all over the south east.  Some of these people couldnt hide their money if they tried with all their might.  On the positive side, with me being 15-20 years junior to most people there, they all treated me, and pretty much anyone, super well as the future of clays is dying with the young.

  7. natchezz has them regularly, but its limit 1 and around $100/k so with hazmat and shipping, plus bullets/powder/brass, and time to hunt this down and make the ammo, Ive been leaning toward factory bargain ammo vs chasing more primers down or depleting what i have left for future major matches

  8. Good news.  Ill try and get for the first one, whatever that is, and bring my S2.

Handgun optics would be good for some of the HQ people to go to. these boneheads are convinced, despite showing them my CO setup G17/authorized off duty that the RMR emits a laser dot on target.  I apparently cant fix stupid, but maybe a week long class can.

  9. is 50/k even possible again?  it is starting to seem like 9mm bargain brands is less stress and a few bucks more than making your own factoring in brass, brass prep, bullets, primers, powder, and time.
