  1. Taccom site says it will not fit factory tube, will fit commercial. So it will fit everything except the factory tube
  2. Another thing...why are some people removing the bolt release button? Is it because it’s nearly unusable or is it hanging up the last shell etc? Thanks
  3. Is the flat wire spring the same length and compression rate as a regular carbine spring? A little softer, a little shorter, etc?
  4. What was the trigger at before you polished it? Curious how many of the regulars here would buy if there was a group discount?
  5. Too bad jp doesn’t offer only the trigger...hey “Tooth and Nail” you guys do any board discounts or military discounts...anything like that?
  6. Anyone making trigger springs that work? I tried the jp springs which lightened the trigger but would not reset the trigger. Played and played with it but couldn’t get it to work right. Don’t like the price of the tooth and nail trigger. Any other options?
  7. It’s actually a silicone pot handle cover. Bought it on amazon for a couple bucks. Works great for the heat, but it is a killer to stretch on!
  8. It’s got to be the stock. If you squeeze the lever to move the stock back and forth can you pull the stock off the buffer tube?
  9. I just emailed them tonight but will try the spring. I turned it while I had everything apart to see if it was backwards from the factory but didn’t see an issue. But maybe it’s not an obvious looking issue. Thanks
  10. 19 round mags again... cant get past the coupler. I’ve tried loading it up and loosening the coupler as others have mentioned with no success. I’ve noticed that the tabs between the two halves that stick through the coupler are never even. One side is high and one side is low. Is this the same for everyone? It’s like one half of the mag is twisted. Can someone with a working 19 look at the locking tabs for me to see if yours are even? Don’t know if I should try to bend them or try to get AT to replace them...
  11. Not arguing physics here. Some shells kick way more than others regardless of what the box says. If something was labeled 2500 FPS would you even bother trying it? Nope. We look for the smallest number that runs through the gun. But I’ve gone through everything that my local store stocks and I shoot loads that aren’t labeled as the lowest because they feel a whole lot better and still knock stuff down. Otherwise I’d only be shooting my 980 AA stuff all the time. Just saying that these barely kick and shoot flat. You can shoot 1150 but if you want longer flatter shots shoot a little hotter. That was the original point of the topic right?
  12. I shoot these guys. They barely kick even though the FPS is higher than you’d typically look for. I shot a couple when I first got my vr and they stayed center out to about 70 yards. I wasn’t really trying to do anything other than run all the different loads I had sitting around so I wasn’t grouping them or anything. But these are my go to slugs for 3gun. I’ll stretch out to 100 next time I go to the range.
  13. So you went with rounds down....I was thinking rounds up since they were so big.
  14. How high are you guys mounting your mag hangers? The 9 round mags are pretty straight forward but what about the 19 round mags? What’s working for you guys?
  15. Any chance you put a trigger pull scale on it? Would love to know the lbs compared to just the yellow spring.
  16. This pubs are pretty firm and you’ll be pushing them through with something so it’s not like parts will go flying. Just take pics before you start. I did top pin, safety, then bottom pin. Just take things out easy and snap a pic of the way the springs are oriented before you pull them off. It’s about as easy as it gets. Just don’t lose that damn circlip...that guy likes to fly!
  17. So I did have one rotated the opposite way. Also found that my three 9 round springs were three different lengths. Funny part is the mag I hadn’t loaded wasn’t the longest...figure that one out
  18. I thought the spring looked the same either way...s#!t. I’ll pull a new one apart again. By backwards are you talking end for end or rotated and facing the wrong way? Thanks
  19. Because after cutting off the base pad post of roughly 2.5” I’m just squeezing in one extra round. So either the follower is extremely deep or the spring is taking up all the space. It just seems like there is an enormous amount of wasted space in the bottom of the mag. I’ll take it apart again and see exactly how much space.
  20. Anyone who has modified the mags to fit more rounds...how much of the base did you remove? Is there any reason for not just taking it all off and just using the flat bottom part to lock the base plate into position? You’d still have the retainer in there just not the post. Does it keep the spring from binding in any way? Any reasons not to? Thanks
  21. I have one but can’t get pics to post...what’s new. I can give you a little info though on the thing. It fits on rather easy compared to my carver magwell. It comes black not raw. The front and back line up perfectly with the inside of the mag port on the gun but the sides could have been better. Unfortunately there’s not enough material on the polymer to taper it into the magwell perfectly but I haven’t noticed ever snagging the edge of the mag on it. The front rounder corners where the gun meets the magwell do let a little light through from it not fitting tight to the gun but unless you’re trying to find that spot you’d never notice it. Other than that it weighs a ton. Actually made my hip sore from living it around at the first match I used it at. But I bought it for weight and that’s what I got. It is a little flatter than my carver overall. I liked the slope the carver had in the front that forced my hand up onto the grip. The sjc gives a little more room for your hand since it doesn’t have that front slope. Anything else just ask.
  22. Ok so just did the spring kit. You can only use the yellow trigger spring. The red hammer spring won’t fit right. Anyhow, I tried getting a stock pull weight before I started but my gauge goes from 8 lbs to “holy s#!t that’s heavy”. So who knows how high it was to start with. After the jp spring it’s right at 7lbs. So it’s not a jewel trigger but it’s better for $15
  23. If you are still looking for this answer, the come out from opposite sides. So the one with the circlip is obvious, the other pin comes out the other way. Does that make sense?
