Advanced got in, but hasn't posted yet they "short" comp so keep an eye out for that. It's similar in design, you just loose a section of porting. Not sure how it compares in performance to the long.
Also talk to Mark at Immortal Arms as he is a dealer now that will be stocking mags - I know he has some in stock now, just not sure the sizes

wait so you have the long comp on yours?
i wasnt aware there is a short and long comp
do you know if those 30 rd tooth and nail mags work?

200 yard zero
that way no matter the distance you arnt more than 2 inches off.
since you only need to hit the target in 3 gun i just know my holds at 300 and 400 as well as 100 and closer

shoot toward the magwell
also ive been running an offset optic in open division so now to me shooting it on the side is almost as natural as using the scope ontop
in fact i think i can probably use it better on its side now

Uh.. holster tilted slightly back if anything. OP mags are correct. I have 3 pouches with #1 raked back a good bit, #2 raked about half that and #3 is straight up exactly on left hip.
By tilting holster and pouches forward it takes unnatural wrist , hand and arm movements to get to them
ok i mean if that works
i was just sharing what works for me. im a big dude with stubby arms, just makes it easier on my range of motion
i tilt the holster forward because i used to carry a duty 1911 and if it was tilted forward a bit i could mash in the grip safety and get the perfect alignment in my hand as i drew
old habits die hard i guess

Did you contact Odin about your issues? I've not seen any of them in several stocks over a couple years.
nope i sure did not
at that point i was pissed off and just went and bought a luth with a rifle tube.
the zulu is sitting in my bin of extra parts that may someday get used
like i said i think the zulu would be great for a pcc stock and i intend to build one soon
so i just opted to not deal with customer service and get my issues resolved immediately

i have a 11 lb rifle and a 7 lb rifle and i dont see much of a difference between the two. i generally use the lighter rifle because carrying all that weight throughout stages for the whole day gets tiresome so i want to swing around as little weight as possible
that being said i think once you reach the 6-8lb weight on a rifle thats generally as good as it gets.
i think at that point if you reduce weight by a pound or increase weight you wont see any difference
ie: a 5 lb rifle wont make you shoot better than a 6 or 7 lb rifle

i do strong hand because when i flip it up i feel like i have more control over holding it and i dont really have to break my support hand grip much
-
step 1 get vr80
step 2 load 3 different mags with 3 different types of shells
step 3 hang them all off your belt
step 4 profit

Ordered mine last week
usps says it should have been here yesterday but i think it will be monday
looking forward to advanced getting the comps back in stock and the 20 rd mags
did we ever figure out if the tooth and nail 29 rd mags will fit?
will update

vortex venom
i went through a slew of other red dots on my pistol and finally tried out the vortex to see what the hype was about and now i love them so much
i have 1 on my pistol, 1 on my shotty, and 1 on my ar

ive had so many problems with my m3000 that i started bringing my 870 pump with an extension tube on it as a backup to matches
when the m3000 goes down its time to swing into pump action
-
i saw a gun run one of those last 3 gun match and as far as i could tell it ran flawlessly
he had the capacity to clear entire stages without a reload and he was shooting open so he just started with the tube completely full
-
when i shoot 3 gun with my extended mags i count the targets. like i know i can engage 11 targets before i have 1 shot left and then to either dump that last round or reload and start again
when i shot with a stroager m3k (before my vr80) i did the same, 12 targets before a reload (or 13 if its a shorter stage and i wanted to run it dry)

Luth AR or magpul prs
i ran the zulu and it was a piece of garbage.
as i shot it would unscrew and then the buttstock would get all jacked up.
also the padding on the stock interfered with the charging handle coming back
I switched to the luth and magically all the issues were resolved
i think a zulu might be good for a pcc build
-
Im having the same issue with a rifle i just built.
out of curiosity did you check the the disconnect spring?
-
i have an 16 in barrel with SA gas block sjc titan comp and rifle length jp lmos buffer with a lightweight bcg and it almost feels like shooting a water pistol
if i had to do it all over again id go 18 in barrel with rifle length gas instead off the mid length i have
-
the thing about 18 in barrels is that it allows you to run a rifle length gas tube which equals less recoil

I usually video my matches and generally expect to do poorly
If i do well then great but if not i go back and watch the video to see where i can improve.
the worst thing you can do is chalk it up to a bad day
theres always something you can learn from
-
Theres probably no truth or science to this but with burnt orange i swear i can see the holes in the target better
sometimes with lighter colored lenses i swear the light on the target makes things just blur together and i have no real idea
where the shot went
-
I make time to shoot because its something i enjoy. I usually do every tues and thus and sometimes once on the weekends.
usually about 100 rounds per trip
sometimes a bit more if im doing something like sighting in a new scope or something
i really just go to practice my basics
-
a combination of my tax refund and some money i pulled out of my retirement to fund a house....i actually just pulled a little bit more than the house deposit and convinced the wife to let me make a grand of it dissapear towards a gun

go through the forum and find stuff you enjoy knowing about
ask questions, be engaged, and dont keep an eye on the post counter.
when the day comes where the classifieds magically pops up be happy knowing you earned it

this is for 3gun open since i havent shot a uspsa match yet, but i image the same concepts would apply. Holster is on right hip and tilted forward a little bit. I tilt my mags forward the opposite of yours because as my hand reaches back i want as little movement as possible in my actual reach. if i reach back and my last mag is tilted backwards i feel like i have to reach back even more to actually grab the mag.
-
twice a week and sometimes three times!
usually about 100 rounds per trip, but i usually go with a specific purpose in mind
like if i need to sight in my new scope or sight in my new red dot etc etc
also if i have guns laying around and i notice i havent shot them in a while ill take it to the range
just so i can stay in practice with all of them
