This is the one I bought. Only 8 gallons, super small, super quiet. Great compressor for someone tinkering! 2998c944c19fd86e27532badd35c699f.jpg

Set mine up yesterday. One of the best things I've ever bought. Super quiet and a large enough reserve tank.

California, or CAT. Just purchased an 8 gallon oil less compressor and it is quiet. I can run it at midnight with no issues. And it is compact, and it doesn't flip 15 amp breakers.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered one from Lowes for $155.00 with free shipping. On sale to 3/12.

I also shoot the Shadow 2 but havent found an accurate handload yet. shoots 115gr white box target ok. the gun is heavy and rock solid.i especially like option for DA first or

cocked and locked with safety on.

As a baseline, you may want to try Atlanta Arms Match ammo. Very consistent.

I've done a lot of my own work on my revolvers and it's not that difficult using the right stones and watching the video.  Just take your time and leave the Dremel out of your hands.

I did my 986. It came out better than I expected. Jerry's video helped alot.

Nowhere near Mark's, but not bad.

The Dremel's are for the pros.

  5. I would not waste my time sending it back to S&W. I would send it to Pinnacle and have Mark make into exactly what you want.

Nowadays, If I buy a new gun, I fully expect to send it out and have it worked on.

Craftsmanship is a thing of the past with factory guns.

I bought a 6” 610. I’ve wanted a 10mm pistol for deer hunting for a while, but couldn’t justify the high cost of an auto. I broke my leg this fall and thought shooting Revo would be entertaining while I recovered. Add those together, and the 610 was justified (at least in my mind).

    What I’ve learned:

    1. Revo is fun!!

    2. Revo major is a severe handicap. Standing reloads are unavoidable. If you want to be competitive, minor with 8 rounds is the way to go.

    3. Gunbroker and bourbon do not mix. I got an unbelievably great deal on a 4” 610 when my low ball bid actually won. So now I have 2 610s.

I had 4 Pythons, 2 Troopers and a Detective Special back when they were making them. The factory action was better than a Smith out of the box. Not nearly as good as a tuned Smith. The Pythons didn't hold up to a lot of use and were finicky to work on. Parts were hard to get and expensive back then, more so now. I was shooting around 30,000 38s and about 3000 357s a season in the late 70's, to early 90's. A Python wouldn't stay working for one season, a Smith would go for 2 or 3 in a row. The Troopers had a heavy, clunky action. I don't know what they are like now.

I'll take a 686 or other Smith over a Python any day for shooting. You can get 4 of them for the price of one old time Python. The Colt is nicer to look at, though.

Right on the money. I've handled and shot dozens of Pythons. Even owned some over the years. For $1500, you could get a 686, have it tuned, buy ammo, and be ready to go.

The 50's and 60's Pythons are real purty, though. Colt stole the wide-spur hammer and the sight rib from King Gunworks.

  8. I've had a spring tester Brownells that I've used for at least 7 years now. I dig it out at the beginning of the season to check and replace springs if necessary.

I have the older "fish-scale" type tester. I do like the updated digital version a bit better. I'll get one during the black Friday sales.
