    Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

The speed loaders and loading block are must-haves.

Just don't try to go too low on the trigger-pull weight, (mine is DAO at 7-1/4#). As long as it's smooth, it'll be fine. It has to have a strong strike for rimfire, especially for the cheap bulk stuff.

I try to shoot mine at the end of each range session. It helps me to remember to keep the trigger moving.

  2. I've been underwhelmed by every Korth I've ever handled. They're ok. But not better than my tuned S&W's. Just my opinion.

Some years ago, someone produced a S&W trigger/hammer replacement with ball bearing bushings. I can't recall who it was, though.

Ditto on the Mcarbo extractor for the Ruger.

Look at a factory extractor vs the Mcarbo.   The difference (for the good) will be obvious.

+1 on the extractor. I also have the Mcarbo buffer, recoil spring retainer, bolt head and extractor pins. It all works perfectly.

I haven't touched the trigger yet, it's a little heavy, but not bad. The Volquartsen replacement trigger module is interesting, but a bit spendy at $273.00

I don't live in the States so don't know the actual prices, but just checked MSRP for this Super GP100 and a S&W 929...

The Ruger is $ 1549.- and the Smith is $ 1209.-

I would only buy such an ugly gun if it was way cheaper than the S&W... (and even the S&W 929 is ugly, to be honest...)

But then again, that's my useless non-important opinion.

But it would be interesting to hear how it compares to the 929.

You may have an easier time getting one than we will in the USA.  🙂

Yeah, they don't have one. It was sort of a rhetorical question. They probably use a sporter chamber as well instead of a Bentz.

I personally avoid anything Ruger that I want to use for precision. I have been burned too many times with inaccurate Rugers.

My choice would be a Bergera B14 22, or the CZ mentioned above.

You and I are on the same page with Ruger's definition of "precision". I have a Bergara on order,(steel barrel). Tikka would also be an option.

Last year my front sight went all fuzzy (am now 44). Set up my inserts for distance with my left eye and front sight with my right - took gun along to ophthalmologist and we fannied about until it was nice and crisp.

The difference between the eyes isn't that huge, so I never felt dizzy. It's only noticeable when I shut my left eye - then longer distances are a bit out of whack, but my brain seems to cope.

I also recently tried it out with contact lenses - works even better without the extra layer of sighted lenses.

I use Pilla shooting glasses - very pricey, but very clear lenses.

In due course, I'll have to shift to a red dot...time waits for no man...

+1 on the Pilla. Superb quality and will last forever.
