  1. Well, I don’t know what the total will end up being. But “Brown Ls” had them for 50% off. ($150 down to $75) so it seemed like a decent price to play with. They have complete kits including slide (don’t know if it has guts though). Current textured lower only kit is about $120.

a current search brought up slides for about $180 with RMR cut. Combo kits (slide, lower, jig) are at about $300ish. Still need barrel and guts.

All Glock oem parts work fine in the P80 frame, you may have to sand/stone the locking blocks a bit if it is too tight. fun project and the frames have a nice feel to them, enjoy!

Yes, the Ergos are a big improvement over stock. Thanks for the heads up on oem parts.

  3. So on a whim, and because it was on sale, I picked up a P80 G19 kit.

Im not too worried about the process of completing the lower as it seems fairly simple enough. My questions are more about which parts to source for the guts, slide, and barrel.

The whole point is to do the build on a budget. That being said, I wouldn’t mind having the slide cut for a DPP and maybe a threaded barrel, maybe. Other than that, I’m not really picky.

Any thoughts on quality and fit issues? What works/doesn’t work? Do I need different components specific for the P80 brand or will oem Glock parts work?

    thanks in advance!

I have the nitrofin and think it helps with grip consistency and don’t have issues going back and forth with SS. Try one and I’m sure you could sell it and recoup most of the money you spent if you don’t like it.

I dimpled mine and removed some off the inner shelf to prevent slide lock. I agree with the above statement about weak hand only (provided you’re a righty). I went to inadvertent slide lock without the dimple by bumping it with my hand.

I don’t have an issue going from NitroFin LTD to Production shooting a CZ without.

, the difference isn't going to win you a match.

I own a Titan. I’ve shot the Nemesis.

I’d recommend the Nemesis as it is the newer tech but the Titan is pretty damn awesome. Get the one you can afford and run it like crazy!

  7. FWIW, I absolutely love the ergos of the CZs.  I shot my CZ shadow in production and CO. Both allowed for a thin safety. When I debated LTD, I tried the TSO, it shot flat but the grip felt cramped due to the location of the thumb safety and magwell.

I bought an STI Edge. Shot it on and off for a month or three and ended up deciding to go with an Atlas since they were using the PT evo grip which is as close as you can get to the CZ ergos.

I LOVE the Atlas. Ergos are almost as comfy as the CZs so I still look fondly upon them in the safe.

Ill second the slide ride optics issue. They just aren’t bombproof.

  8. I have one in my Titan. I put one in my backup’s plastic STI grip so it would be a little more similar. Used a small square file to open up the grip where the trigger slides. Again, a little at a time top and bottom.

I didnt take take it off the shoe because it is anodized and therefore hardened, albeit shallow. Plus the finish on the trigger is pretty slick so it rides on the plastic pretty smooth.

STI grips are relatively cheap compared to a steel grip so I wasn’t too worried about it.

  9. Never shot an SV.

I own a Titan and have shot a Nemesis. I didn’t notice a huge difference but I tuned my loads so my Titan returns to zero.

Im sure either would be a phenomenal choice.

That being said, the factors that made me choose Atlas are their customer service, lower lead time, and lower price for just as good, if not possibly better quality.

I have a Vortex Venom on a backup CZ Phantom.  I may just take it off and put on my primary till I get this figured out.  Will see what Leupold says today.  I may be switching back to Vortex.

Did you use the Vortex? Any reliability issues with that?

From my understanding the the general consensus is that all of the reflex sights were not originally designed for slide ride. Therefore they all break at some point.

At a week and a half past the 3 month mark now. Chomping at the bit to receive it. Spoke to Cat the day after 3 months and she said it was on Adam's desk for bench testing and test firing. Hoping to get the call real soon. This part of the wait is seeming to take the longest..lol

Congrats man, you’re really going to dig it. The wait will totally be worth it.

For my Titan, ordered on April 5th, and it arrived on 7/27. Out of curiosity - how many of you Atlas owners follow their recommendation on barrel cleaning of just shooting it out with jacketed rounds?

I just run a bore snake through it once in a while. I mostly shoot jacketed bullets though.

  13. I have 6 SVI mags. I don’t know if they are new or old but since they came with my Titan I’d guess new. I also have 4 Gen1 STI mags and one Gen2 that I run in my EDGE. I think the SVI mags stay in tune longer.

But what I get from reading this thread is:

Go with what you can afford.

    Keep them clean.

Check the dimensions now and then.

    Respring often.

I used the steel Atlas magwell on the pt evo grip that came on the Atlas. It indeed adds noticeable weight!

Ditto. However, I’ve heard the LimCat helps with those reloads that tend to jam a little if they are off angle. Thoughts?
