Hello Shooters, Well we're one week away. So let's make that final big push to get your applications in. Stages have been approved by John Amidon. Started building them last weekend. Should finish them this weekend. Plan to have them posted this weekend. Sponsors and vendors have been awesome. The prize table should be spectacular. (Thanks Liz and Brad) We will be doing registration at the range all day Friday and at the match hotel Friday night from approximately 7:00 to 9:00. (Ramada Inn) If you miss us Friday, registration will open Saturday morning at the range at 7:00 a.m. Round count is 272 rounds plus chrono. Hello Shooters, Two hours out of rotator cuff surgery and I thought I'd drop you all a line to let you know all is well. Aps are coming in, but we still have plenty of spots available. So send your aps in to shoot a great match in Middle TN. Please, the sooner the better so we can complete our shirt and trophy orders on time. As far as the stages, we are just waiting on Mr. Amidon's approval, as he was busy with the Nationals the last couple of weeks. We are going to start building stages this weekend. Hello Shooters,Sponsors,Vendors,Friends. Thanks Lynn for the links to all the right places and thanks to the people behind the scenes who have been working to get this match off to a great start. O.K. now for some information, The match will be Oct. 9th,10th,11th- RO's and a limited number of shooters will shoot on friday. All others will shoot on Sat. & Sun. We are planning to have the shooting finished by noon on Sunday with awards and prize table to follow, hopefully having everyone headed home by 3:30 to 4:00. Friday shooters meeting will be at 7:30 am with first shot at 8:00 am. Sat & Sun shooters meeting will be at 8:00 am with first shot at 8:30 am. So far we have STI and ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SHOOTING as match sponsors. For futher sponsorship info please contact Elizabeth Peeler at any of our links, we have three levels of sponsorship. Registration, Squadding,scoring will be handled by Guru Brad Griffin who also can be contacted at all our links. Hello Everyone -- I would personally like to thank everyone who took time to attend our first Hillbilly Classic. As I walked around the range I did not see Single Stack or Production. What I saw was smiling, happy faces that made this all worth while. I would like to thank the staff and R.O.s for continuing a reputation for hosting a well run match, with great stages. A special thanks to Derek at Millennium Customs, Allen at Tactical Response, Rick at Dickson Sportsman's Store, Ron & Tina at Hy Demand Tools, Chuck and all the guys at Shooters Connection for help making some people happy at the prize table. Thanks to Bryan for feeding us all some barbecue. Lot's of people went back for seconds. Because of the great response, what is eveyone's feelings about doing this again sometime in the spring? Hello Everyone: Just thought I'd chime in to let everyone know a few last minute details. The range looks great. The stages are done as of tonight and they look awesome. No dot gun stages here. From reading all the chatter here we knew we'd better have some damn good stages ready for ya'll. We think ya'll are going to have a great time. Now for some scheduling news: Friday morning -- registration opens at 7:30 -- shooters meeting at 8:00 -- first bang 8:30. Stages will be open to anyone who wants to come look at them. Registration will be open all day Friday at the range during the match. We'll also be doing registration from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the match hotel, in the Ramada conference room. Saturday morning -- registration opens at 7:00 a.m. at the range -- shooters meeting at 7:30 -- first bang 8:00. Someone asked if there are going to be any vendors. The answer is yes. Tactical Response has confirmed they will be there and there are a couple maybes. As for lunch on Saturday, it will be barbecue and sides served by a local sherrif's department officer for about $5 a plate. I believe that includes barbecue, potato salad, beans, chips and a drink. I'm told from past matches it's excellent. Looks like we're going to have excellent weather. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can. I think we've put together a really good match. Hello Everyone: My deepest apologizes for not posting sooner. No excuses, other than I've been very busy at work. As I said before, this match is still a go. Applications are still coming in. But we can always use more shooters. A couple things to note: The late fee will be waived. That was a crazy idea anyway. I have given up on the self squading process. The current squad list has been sent the web master who is very busy running the Tennessee Section this weekend, but hopefully will post it within the next day or two at our web site -- ntps.org. I will also be shooting the TN Section this weekend, but will try to keep up with emails on a daily basis. All checks for the match will be deposited Monday or Tuesday. So no take backs. Hello Fellow Hillbilly Shooters -- This is your friendly match director, Robert. It's one month before the match. So it's time to bring everyone up to speed on some information. We have our Level II certification. Hopefully it will posted on USPSA's calendar by Monday. So I've got my fingers crossed. Let there be no doubt, whether we have 20 shooters or 100 shooters, this match will take place. (We already have more than 20.) Now, as far as the self squadding process goes, to say I'm frustrated would be an understatement. After two weeks of emails and phone calls, this is still not happening. So, that being said, if you have any squadding requests please do email me at nashforee@bellsouth.net with these requests. Keeping in mind that these will be 8 man squads. And with or without self squadding, I will be posting a full information page and squads by the end of next week to a link from our web site (ntps.org). Please be patient with responses, match director is not my full time job. Myself or my secretary (wife) will answer emails every evening when we get in from our full time gig. All joking aside, this is my first attempt at being match director. So far I have found it exciting and pleasurable to do because of my love for the people and the sport, which I just started in three years ago. So if you're looking for something to do on a beautiful October weekend in middle Tennessee, we have a wonderful gun range here at NTPS. Send in those applications and come on and join some good folks for a great match. Oh, by the way, I'm a single stack shooter, if everything goes right.
