  1. I have the SSI Tungsten grip module & Guide rod. Definitely worth the money to me, the factory grip module is to narrow for my hands and now that’s definitely not an issue. The grip module has a very similar profile to my 2011 now. The gun was noticeably softer/flatter shooting. It’s pricey but worth it if you plan on taking things serious in CO.

  2. I really like this Optic but I may go with that new Trijicon SRO. There have been a ton of guys in my area who’s CO guns have been eating dots from every brand. Most have been on Steel frame CZ’s, but the plastic gun Guys have been having it happen too. My Romeo1 has 10-12k rounds and hasn’t missed a beat ,but I’d be lying if I said that it hasn’t been in my mind. The Romeo 3 has been out, but sig specifically says that it is not designed for a slide mounted guns. What has changed other then the labeling? I’m not sure if I’d be willing to drop $600 on the Max version. I’ve definitely been at a crossroads on what to do

Just did a quick search, & Natchez is going to be selling the 22rd. mag for $17.99, whenever they become available.

Do you know if their 22rnd mag will fit the 140mm scale for USPSA?

Has anyone else heard anymore info of when they are releasing these?

Since this is turning into an "oil thread"...….

You might want to consider taking out the roll pin and bolt slug. A lot of us are running lighter bolts and buffers, with the 308 or lighter springs. I've got the NFA upper and lower, Taccom bolt, Tubbs 308 spring, no slug in the bolt, and a 6 oz. buffer. Shooting factory loads at about 130 - 135PF, very happily.

    Hope this helps.

Im not sure I want to try this, Blitz Krieg does not recommend removing that slug from the Bolt. I appreciate the info though.

My buddy had the same issue with his CMMG bolt. Some of the pins don't have much tension.  Just go to your local hardware store and get a new roll pin. Knock out the old one and replace it with new. make sure the pin is centered and not sticking out. Should take care of the problem.

Thanks for that info, im going to try and locate a roll pin locally this weekend.

  5. Ok so I just got home from my mom's house and wanted to take the gun apart and clean it, when I pulled the read take down pin and spit the 2 halves I found little shards of metal. WTF right? I pulled the bolt and immediately see that there's a roll pin in the back of the bolt holding in a metal slug, well the roll pin backed itself off and started rubbing the inside of the upper. This was odd because I did not notice the roll pin when I first got the gun from the builder and tore it down to inspect, I also didn't notice anything when I cleaned/oiled it after I sighted the gun in (only took 10 shots and 2 separate groups of 5 to confirm zero). So either I over looked this (possible but unlikely) or the roll pin in the bolt is walking. This is most likely the case since up until yesterday the gun might have had 60-70rnds down range between initial sight in, chrono session, and a double check of the initial sight in (left my rest the 1st time) and I was about 250ish rounds into the match. Now the question is, do I risk shooting another match with this bolt or do I replace it with something better (JP) or send it back to Faxon?

Im not running my guns over wet if that makes sense. Blowbacks are always dirtier than you’d expect. Also what’s the specs on your PCC? That could have something to do with it too.

    New Frontier upper/lower

    PWS ratchet buffer tube

    blitz krieg buffer system

    jp 308 buffer spring

    faxon bolt assembly

    elftman trigger

i Don’t know about the barrel though, I win this rifle at the Alabama sectional from a sponsor that built it.

I never cared for frog lube, I used it on several AR15’s  when they first came to market. I may give it another try though if I continue to run into this problem

  7. So I tried a search and didn’t get much, so here we go. What’s everyone using for a lubricant on their PCC’s? I’m currently using Lucas on everything I shoot, I really like it. Unfortunately yesterday I was shooting a knock down steel match and on the last stage (5) the gun quit, the bolt had a ton of carbon built up. This was my first match with the gun, the gun was cleaned & lubed earlier in the week. On Friday before the match I Chrono’d a few different loads and checked zero (less than 30rnds), I did not re-lube before the match yesterday. Are blow back style PCC’s like 2011 open guns where you gotta put a ton of lube on them?

im shooting a coated bullet (switching to Precision Delta JHP, they haven’t arrived yet), with 4.0g of VV N320.

Shoot for around 140 pf and try a quality FMJ in the 115-124gr neighborhood loaded around 1.100”

That runs well in nearly every PCC out there. Begin with known good ammo, then introduce different bullet weights or try coated ones from there.

Begin with something accurate and reliable.

The loads I worked up this weekend were all 124G Precision Delta FMJ, except for 1 load and I used plated 147G extreme's. I also bought 100 115G Precision Delta bullets as well, I will try those out after I figure out a load with the 124's.Thanks for the great info fellas, its greatly appreciated.

    ffgats, thanks for the OAL!

    Jp GMR 15 14.5”bbl

    3.8grs is at 128pf

    4.1 at 140pf

3.8 is soft Shooting but are getting some flyers at 25 yards, 4.1 is still soft/ flat and shoots great at 25.

Thank you for that info sir, I loaded 80rnds today and I’m gonna Chrono them this weekend. Also what OAL are you loading your bullets to?

Heres what I came up with

    1-20 @ 3.8g 1.100, 124g PD

    2- 20 @ 4.0g 1.100, 124g PD

    3- 20 @ 4.2g 1.100, 124g PD

    4- 20 @ 4.0g 1.120, 147g extreme

The last load was kind of a “what the hell, try it” idea just to see how the gun likes a heavier grain bullet.

With a 14-1/2" JP barrel, I load 147 gr Extreme RN plated bullets over 3.3 gr N-320.  AOL = 1.110".

Same gun but with Eggleston 98 gr RN coated bullets I load 4.4 gr N-320.  AOL = 1.055"

Both loads are 100% reliable with the Eggleston load the more accurate of the two.

Both chrono at 138 PF.   Drop a few tenths of powder and you should be near your 130 PF goal.

I have a case of 124 gr RN bullets on the shelf but have not worked up a load.  I'll probably start around 3.6 gr N-320.

thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated!
