It was announced, not sure who you are asking. It will be back in PA at Ontelaunee rod and gun club, the date is not set but expected to be fall again.
I just didn’t see it posted on the ICORE fb page nor mentioned anywhere. Hopefully the dates don’t collide with the WRC and the WRC is at Moro Bay. Fallon for us is just a tad too far.
Flying these days is horrendous and guns make it worse. For Moro Bay we got up at 3am and got home at 11:45pm. Nothing is on time anymore. -
I thought I heard the 2024 IRC location was going to be announced Sunday past? I've talked to the guys expecting to run the '24 IRC but radio silence from the board.
how odd......

Titegroup absorbs smells. I reload at my shop and once (when I started reloading with tg) someone said “your gunpowder smells like brakes”. And I’m in the brake business.

The recommended respirator filter is 3M 2097.
That's what we use when we have to practice indoors with a revo. My auto's can use non-tox primers if I want to shoot those indoors (but I don't shoot supercomp indoors)

I've used a LEE U 9mm die and LEE fcd for years and probably over 100k rounds. Not a problem and I leave one hell of a crimp with the .358 bullets.
Supposedly I'm doing it all wrong according to some here but I'm sticking to what works.

I have 4 MOA Aluminum sliderides on my open 2011's and 929

Tell me where anything is getting better? My wife just noticed the raisin walnut bread this week was weak on both counts.
The remingtons are available up here now and doing research on the 1 1/2" it seems they are made for 9mm and lower while the 5's are 9mm and up

Odd that the softness of the 1 1/2" is not useful

Having an automated press makes life easy once it’s running and running for a while. They are idiosyncratic beasts and one must have some technical proficiency. I’ve have my Evo pro disassembled (except for the core) more than once. I just had to take apart the automated primer disc Friday as a primer got into the works.

To simplify>
Basically you have a choice of either a 124 or 147gr projectile in either plated (ok), coated (good) or jacketed (best).
powder
titegroup (dirty and cheap)
hp-38/w231 (good midrange)
N320 (cleanest and most $, though I found it expensive and dirty)
primers-whatever you can find, 2011’s will eat anything
remember not to over or UNDERcrimp.
And after you get comfortable and think “I’ve got this” , things will loosen up and ruin your day! No matter how much you spend on a press (looking at you MarkVII)

We might have broken the adjustments on the first 90degree slideridge we got. The moment I saw a piece fall out I realized neither one of us took into account the 90degree.... *sigh*
-
Did they ever give it a chance by only selling it only in 1lb containers?
-
That sucks, I never got my worn one fixed, it's still in the safe in pieces. I never was able to send it to Mojo due to all the BS in 2020/21, so I just left it. There is a new S&W warranty place in Canada, I should just deal with it.

It was never going to bed in. Everyone (mostly) in prod is shooting a metal CZ which then either gets milled or a plate for ProdOp.
Limited optics isn’t any different

Slideride
I love sliderides but how is that going to fit?

Just got an email from Powder Valley for sale on Federal SPP's. That's a first since what, 2019?

One can shoot brass that is free? I’m still loading processed blazer I did years ago though I am down to my last 5k. Got a lot of work to do this offseason, I’ve got buckets of dirty brass everywhere
-
There will always be open shooters. I know many (inc myself) who have PO guns but still shoot open. Though I won’t indoors and shoot revolver instead (I’m weird). Going from a 2011 to a legion is a downgrade no matter how much cheaper you tell yourself it is.
up here standard division is going the way of revo, dying a slow death.
-
I load my 9mm 929 to 1.19(RN) which isn't too much different than the 1.225 (jhp) I load for super comp.
-
Went from 650 to mark 7 revo (or is it Evo?). No way I’d ever go back to pulling the handle.
-
I just got to the PF I needed and that was that. To be honest I would start closer and shoot groups.
as for hp38/w231 I just switched to it this year from n320 for 9mm revolver shooting so I wouldn’t sweat it. N320 is overhyped and dirty
-
I’m always one for going against the grain but early on in my action shooting journey I learned not to reinvent the wheel.
so for revo I went with a 929 and copied MWP’s setup and for open 38 super comp with a 124jhp behind 3N38. Just one less headache to deal with.

I asked Dave O a while back about this and he told me Ruger just removed it from the catalog temporarily so people would stop asking why it’s not available.

There is too much of a good thing in regards to Revo primer optimization

Yes I use that in my 1050 with bullet feeder for my 38 short colts. Worth the money.
X2
So the IRC, WRC and the Australian ICORE Championship were all the same weekend..

The usual plan is to fly to SFO from Toronto, stay overnight, get the rental and drive to Moro bay. Fallon adds 90-120 minutes. Makes getting back rather unpleasant. Flying into Reno isn't great from here and on points difficult if not impossible.
