Maxxtech is the worst with an enormous internal step.
Fortunately the step is so severe, my 650 was unable to deprime and I caught it.
Thread below covers it well.

Midway had a sale on the Magpul 21 round glock mags.
I got two, and ran about 300 rounds thru the pair........flawless so far.
21 might be a good number to have that fits between the stock 17 and big sticks.
@$12.99/ea I had to buy.

There isnt as much chamber support of the 9mm case in a pcc, as compared to a 9mm major custom pistols.
But then given the longer barrel, less pressure is needed to make major in pcc.
I have fooled around with diff loads up to 146PF, which didnt feel much different than 132 pf with pcc.
I like it the way it is.......no major in pcc.
But if one were to go major 9mm in a 14.5" PCC, what load/powder/bullet would be best? Heavy or light bullet?

Hmmmmm.......it set me back $400, but I keep a spare JP bolt and buffer in range bag.

Whatever happened to the much vaunted JP service dept?

Kinda in the same boat looking, I can't decide if I should just get the GMR-13 for less $$?? I mean, really besides the flared magwell what changed? As far as I know it's still the same upper/lower, barrel, spring setup stock etc.
I'm trying to justify the extra $318, where is it at?
the gmr15 bolt locks open on empty......which is of limited value in uspsa.
I have not seen a gmr13 magwell, but the flared magwell on the gmr15 combined with taccom funnel thingy, makes for very fast reloads which are critical to doing well in classifiers.
There are two versions of the gmr15. One is like $2400 as featured in Front Sight.....red anodized safety lever, thermal dissipator, and unique side charging handle and upper. Other version is all black without those three features, and $1800.

Mines been great for 6000 rounds......one broken firing pin (seems typical for all of them), and a fresh set of orings for buffer.
But I have never shot any other 9mm carbine.

My JP FP broke today during 350 rounds of practice (maybe 6000 rounds total on this factory new gun).
Discovered this while cleaning after range session.
I believe the gun fired many times with a broken FP!
Its possible the FP broke on the very last round of the day, but I doubt it.
So the GMR15 never failed to fire even with a broken pin.

I had an AR15 223 by olympic.....not good.
Barrel nut wasn't even hand tight as shipped.

5000+ rounds on my gmr15.......completely stock.
Only ONE malfunction, and the hole was not involved.

If you reload 9mm for your pistol, the same reloads should make a similar power factor in your carbine making is possible to shoot the same ammo without adjusting the charge.
I assume this is with the 5.5 in. carbine barrel.
In my 14.5 in. carbine barrel I gain about 160fps overall with my old production pistol loads.
Question?.......Are most PCC shooters coming from production or open?
In my case its open.......have not shot production for years.

Am I the only one that can barely detect any difference between 132 and 146 PF when done in a blind test?
-
I prefer 147 over 124 only because I perceive dot motion to be a bit less on six shot Bill Drills.
-
I have 4000 small rifle primers I need to use up, preferably with my stock JP GMR15 PCC.
Am I gonna regret the first batch I make?
Does the firing pin hit as hard in a PCC as an AR15?
-
Strange......all my glock branded 31/33's with taccom splice or TF 41+1 base easily drop free on my GMR15..
Question? Do you really care? You only reload on classifiers with PCC, and those should be done with Glock 17 rounders from belt.

Buna N has excellent petroleum compatibility but only good compatibility with vegetable oil (strange?).

There are better materials like PTFE and Viton for more money.
Personally, I think the o-rings get beat (pinched) to death.....and material may make little difference..
Someone needs to check this out.

JPSCS2-9MM
One of the o-rings started coming apart at about 3000 rounds......gun still ran. Noticed it at cleaning.
I'd say these o-rings are regular maintenance item......as in change out every 2000rounds?
I run the thing well lubed in the gun.

I'm getting 142PF with 3.9TG, 1.145, and 124 Montana Gold JHP's.
Also, 136PF with 3.2TG, 1.145, and 147 Berry round nose plated.
I sometimes use the 142 PF ammo when dealing with an array of steel.......as an open shooter I've become used to hitting steel with something harder than production PF.
Couple times I've returned to re-hit falling steel when it was sloooowly falling with PCC.
-
Not to drift the thread, but I find how I hold/grip the carbine has great effect on dot movement and recovery - shot to shot.
Lately I work on fast pairs on steel at 24 yds, and Bill Drills on steel at a reasonably challenging distance......refining how I hold and trigger the PCC.
-
Sorta of on topic........but I found some 24" x 1/4" brass rod on ebay for 9$.
Your pistol squib rods wont work on the carbine.

How does one easily clean the crown area on a 14.5" barrel with a pinned/welded comp taking it to 16"?
-
Some matches/clubs often have targets beyond 50 yds.
For those I would zero at 50 and utilize holdover for tight close stuff.
Frostproof optic Nationals this yr had targets around 65 yds in the big bay down at the end.

mag release on a gmr15 is awesome.
Thumb safety is a bit stiff though.

How long do the inexpensive unbranded 1/3N Batteries CR1/3N 3-Volt Lithium Batteries last in lasers or red dots compared to say duracell?
At 90 cents each for the above, I could live with a shorter battery life.
Crimson Trace will only send out one battery per yr for free.
-
why the heavy discounting on the crimson trace 206?
bet there's a new and improved version in the pipeline.
Case head separation- who has experienced this?

Whats the best tool to keep in range bag that will quickly/easily pop out that piece of brass?
Have not had a separation yet, but its just a matter of time.
I assume the brass ring remaining in chamber is stuck in there pretty good?
