  1. I didn't confirm but according to a video on youtube talking to the Tanfoglio guys it is Legal, but I am not worried about major matches yet. I borrowed the bladetech on a boss for a stock 3 from a buddy and it hung pretty bad for me, so I might look into the ghost
  2. I appreciate the input, I'm going to go ahead and get gear for both, worse case is I can sell it right lol. I have a few local guys that are pretty good that are going to help with the stage planning etc.
  3. New as in first Tanfo and have never shot a USPSA match. I got one of the new Stock 1's imported by IFG-NA and I will be shooting it in IDPA SSP which I am somewhat familiar with but I will also be starting up USPSA in the Production class with my 9 year old here at local matches. I have sent the pistol off to Patriot Defense to get it tuned up within the rules of SSP and Production. I am just looking for gear recommendations for gear, as well as modifications y'all might recommend for USPSA production. I am having PD do their optimized tuning package, BOLO, Titan hammer, xtreme sear, and that is all I can remember off the top of my head. thanks in advance.
  4. I didn't get to shoot it this weekend because its on the way to Patriot Defense, but I have some rounds through mine and I will gladly answer any questions you have that I can. A good friend of mine shot it at an IDPA practice night and other than getting used to the first pull he was very impressed, that of course was on a bone stock pistol. He is a CDP Master shooter so he is used to SA only but ran it in SA/DA to stay SSP legal. LMK....
  5. Thanks man I'm doing what I can, he has a ton of natural talent and this is the first 9mm he has shot well without malfunctions (due to recoil), so I'm excited to see where we can take it. Once we get the pistol back from you with the better trigger pull etc I'll start working him on the DA first pull. I'm hoping to take a JJ Racaza with him next year. All I've ever carried is a Glock (since the police academy) so it's got a little learning curve for me as well.
  6. IFG-NA is completely separate and has zero to do with EAA, they import Pedersoli, Sabatti, FAIR and now The Tanfoglio Stock 1(with more to come god willing). Some of the confusion is there were some guns imported by IFG-Rockledge, Florida on them quite a few years ago. IFG-NA is a completely different company with zero to do with the former. As Patriot Defense said please call and talk to Justin at IFG-NA and he can answer all your questions. They are great people and really do care about their customers. I got one of the first Stock 1's imported by them in 9mm and between myself and my 9 year old we have a couple hundred rounds through it with zero issues. It's now on its way to Patriot Defense to get their magic worked on it. here are a couple vids of my son shooting it:
  7. After spending some time shooting it, doing reloads etc I can say the serrations are very effective, they might not be as aesthetically pleasing as some of the other models but they work. I'm pretty sure I'll be adding Patriot Defenses grips which are very reasonably priced if I determine that the factory grip aren't good enough but so far I'm fine with them. I just mailed it off to let Patriot Defense work it over so I'll report back once I get it back. This is my first Tanfoglio so I don't really have much to compare it to, but I'm very pleased so far.
