Bet if you asked all 4 would have a way to help you get through a match.

Revolver competitors have a tendency to loan out their best and shoot their back up, all you have to do is ask.

Kind of like any good pusher, you just have to give out a taste.

Lol that's right.  They are all the best and very knowledgeable about gear, no matter the division.

I just bought one to do the same thing myself. The package arrived today but I haven’t had the chance to make it to the garage and double check.

It’s just a die that screws into the press and a spring that attaches to the top.

Please update with pics when you get it going.

  3. On long strips of movement try to get very low and shoot on the move.  That will save time as you are shooting while closing in on the next array of targets.  Since I would have shot them on the move I would have kept shooting the arrays on the right and finished on the left in counter clockwise direction.  Work on your reloads.  You should want to be able to complete a reload in one step or less. Looks like you should be an upper level C class, you should have no trouble getting to that huge deficit called B class soon.  Remember that hindsight is always 20/20.  I shot single stack for a few months to make myself better at breaking down stages and to learn that smooth is fast and fast will get you to the scene of the crash first.  Keep up the work and you will get there.

I just shoot one 15 round group - drop the 2-3 flyers, and see

how the other dozen shots were for accuracy    :)

I am with you. We are exactly playing rocket science.  I would rather find a decent load and spend my time practicing than spending all my time trying to make a load to shoot a sniper rifle group out of my pistol.

  5. Blue Bullets!   Wearing a surgical glove when loading will take care of Smurf fingers lol! All coated bullets will dirty your fingers, so the surgical glove is a good idea either way!   Blue Bullets  has a subscription service which is cool and can save some $$$ also.  Ain't nothing like a monthly shipment of projectiles ?

  6. Disconnecter, sear, striker, etc.

I must admit the I do have one of those "Tuperware guns" but what parts are included in the "firing group?

Each Tupperware gun is different, but if it moves, polish it.

I load ten of each charge, bullet, whatever the variable is, and shoot a target at 25yds, with a chrono at 15'.

Anything under 4" and over PF is good enough, obviously I go with the tighest. I usually try to keep minor under 135pf. If a load is cheaper for some reason I may forgo a little accuracy.

Why chrono at 15 instead of 10' like they are set at matches?

I recently shot Classifier 06-03 which is a close range hoser with a reload.  One of the PCC shooters started with laser on, gun on belt, and had the laser on the A-Zone of the first target.  Looked legal to me.  Great first shot time.

It is perfectly legal.  Don't know that I would want to reload from that position though.

  9. You will not be happy with that trade.  We just shot the area 6 match and there was a Glock sponsored side match.  I have shot my 2011 so long that i was gripping high and causing the slide not to cycle.  There is not one positive.  You will have to have after market barrel, guide rod, trigger, etc.  Why spend all that money on Tupperware?   If this were an intervention:  JUST DO NOT DO IT!

  10. My son started with learning how to score targets and even attended a RO class at 10.  We then spent 6 mos in private range sessions with a .22 pistol. The first 2 mos. Were unloaded gun only.  We let him start 9mm when he was 11.  If they can't operate at least minor power factor then they just aren't ready.  It will create some very bad habits if yoh try to force the issue.  Go back to .22 and be patient.   It all comes together in time and the kids enjoy it more when they are doing something they can handle and focus on learning the other aspects of the game, like movement, breaking down stages, etc.
