Thanks for the great tutorial. For some reason it I couldn't find it via the Youtube search function.

While I really like the improvements, the trigger kit made. But I may have one of the bad sears of I just may need to polish something, If I squeeze the trigger, really slowly it makes a noise and feels like it is dragging. Here is a link to a video of it:

I agree. I am interested in is the silicone carbide treatment. However, I don't want to give up my frame for any more than a few days. I would like to do my own, but doing the reduction well enough is something I don't think I am prepared to do. Anyone know of a really good tutorial?

Has anyone had luck installing Talon skateboard grip tape on their x5? I place a lot of pressure on my grip and the tape starts migrating after a few hundred presentations. I clean thoroughly, place and apply heat and pressure. It moves at the bottom of the backstrap and the top of the support hand side. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just installed my GG competition trigger kit, almost speechless. From just under 7lbs to 3.5lbs and the over-travel and reset are way shorter. I have to say, I like this trigger better than my CZ P-09 with Cajun parts. I never dared hope that it could be this good. May go back in and polish it a bit, but wow!

I ordered their competition kit, also. Has yours shipped yet? They did state to be patient as they had a ton of orders come in for it.

It is great to deal with a company that still believes in quality customer service. They said that the rod should not look like that after so few rounds and they sent me a replacement.

Thanks for checking. I looked at one in my CZ, it over 3000 rounds through it and it is in better shape. I was just concerned that it would cause undue wear on the slide. I put it back in and will keep an eye on it. May have to go to a 13lb spring, ejection was really weak at 130pf.

It is the 1911 rod. Fired 30 rounds in a reload ladder, 14lbs Wolff spring.

I did the same with my CZ. Is your guide rod getting scratched up?

Hey Guys, I have looked and haven't been able to find an answer, so here goes. I see that on a 1911 you put the flat end of the recoil spring onto the guide rod. But the x5 is setup differently, should I put it no the same way? Thanks in advance.
