Yep, so little recoil it even stopped my flinch, which I did not have, I don't think, lol.
No recoil, feels like cheating. -
You can't run 9mm with the 40 barrel in, so yes, the 40 barrel is out.
So I gotta ask, what do you mean by "ridiculous"?
-
Has this been released in the USA yet? Here's a pic of one of the new TSOs. However from what I've read, you aren't guaranteed to get this configuration. I''ve seen new guns with old version grips, safety & mag release and combinations thereof.

Aaaah, I get it now. Thanks. But I see a lot of name brands, for lots of items, mentioned quite often, hmmm.I used a brand and by default the forum swapped out or with that wording.

I'm with you, Muncie. There doesn't appear to be consistency from CZ (from what I can tell) as to what is currently being manufactured.
CMs started off with the wider trigger guard and cast checkering from the TS models. When TSOs were introduced they were different from their TS cousins because (among other things) the frames had the thinner trigger guards and different front/back straps. Seems that the CMs followed suit for a bit. Then I start seeing new CMs and TSOs with the older TS design grip and trigger guard, along with the TS 'Blue' which looks to me like a TS with full dust cover.
I pay attention to this stuff as I'm currently looking for a used CM with the thin trigger guard and improved checkering on the front/back strap. With lots of people using generic CM photos, I ask for actual photos of the pistol being sold. This has allowed me to see the multitude of variations in the market currently.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled program[emoji41]
I too, am looking for a CM with the fine checking and the thin undercut trigger guard and beaver tail, so I can use a high grip.
I was at a loss, worried which variation I might get, until you said, just request pics of the actual gun for sale. Thanks for the tip.

What does *thumb rest [generic]* mean?Love the trigger, not sure if the *thumb rest [generic]* will stay though. Rides a bit close to the slide stop.Dead nuts accurate though!
Threw a set of lok grips on it...gtg
I'm confused by the wording.

Armory Craft has some new CZ 75 wood grips, but I'm not sure they would fit your Shadow.
-
IIRC, use their 75B springs for the CM.If you want to go lower than 10#

pjb45,
What work did you have them do? -
Please explain what you mean about the trigger bow should not be cut off.If you need the hard click of reset you need the the spring of sear as strong as possibleand the trigger bow should not be cut off by any wear of the slide-trigger bow cycling work
I know some use a stronger Tanfo sear spring when their trigger pull is too light.
I know I tried to take out as much trigger pre- travel as possible with the adjustment screw and it caused me to have the same problem with my TS as JayDee..

Trigger Pin
in CZ
Is your gun a Shadow 2 ?I replaced mine with the floating pin before I even fired a shot with the gun. The TRS from CGW dropped .5lb off my trigger pull -

Just wondering, but what ever happened to the first new comp, the 1.5 oz one, mentioned in the first post?
-
I run the buffer since one came installed in my 9mm TSO made in the summer of 2017. I was, however, surprised to see it.Do you 9 guys run the buffer? The manual says it’s a stock part for the 40 but not for the 9 TSO yet my 9 came with one installed?
My 9mm TS did not come with one.
I thought I would see how the TSO shot with the buffer and watch it for signs of wear. It seems to be doing fine. Got spare buffers, as well, so I thought I would use it.
Softens the recoil a tad, and helps decrease slide wear, I hear. I've never shot the TSO without it. -
Broncman,
Hope you get well soon. Do what the Doc says and you'll be fine.
BTW, I know what you mean about the pain-killer injections (oxymoron) between the toes. Ouch! -

There is an angle to deal with. Machining a comp is not as easy as it looks, the bore axis is not parallel to the frame rails, and in some pistols, the frame rails are not parallel to the top of the slide and those angles are not necessarily the same, from manufacturer to manufacturer or even from model to model from the same manufacturer.
For example, through a miscommunication with the machinist, the first batch of Czechmate comps I made tilt down by one degree:
For the second batch he cut the body of the comp in one step, then set up at a one degree angle to cut the cone, and bore hole.
The top edge of the 75B SA slide, however slopes down relative to the frame rails but roughly one degree, so the comp doesn't look as funny in that pairing:
(Comps from this first batch are available at heavy discount on clearance [emoji6])
If you look closely at some 2011 builds you can see the comp is cut with the outside edge concentric to the bore hole and when in battery the tilt down by something like a half degree, in small frame Tanfoglio compact slides, the barrel tips down by more like two degrees.
Atlas,
I'm wondering about how you lightened the grip shown in your second pic titled, open sport.jpg, I think you drilled holes straight into the backstrap.
But, please tell me how you did the front strap. Did you cut grooves, or drill holes, then shape them. I cannot really see.

My TSO tends to eject brass 12-15', regardless of recoil spring.
Hi Muncie,
What causes your gun to throw brass 15 feet? Just seems a bit far.
Is your TSO a 9mm?
What ammo/power factor do you use?
Are your cases aluminum?
Your other CZs do the same?
Just curious, please don't take offense.

Zspeed,Parrot inbound!!!
How do you like your new Parrot?
I assume you got it already.
I used to think the colors were awful, but now I want one. Not ready to buy... still just drooling, lol. -
The Parrot is $1200 more than the CzechMate. Why is that?

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the insight about the trigger set screw. Can this screw move on it's own?
The set screws in the stock plastic trigger seem to hold their position much better than those in metal triggers where many recommend loctite.
-
Woops
Indeed. As I said several posts up. -
I learned not to take out all the trigger over-travel. Set trig OT screw plus one half turn so the sear clears the hammer hooks.Gun is fine, lol. Just needs trigger adjustment as I mentioned and desert tortoise mentioned. When you get it back you are going to need to learn and understand what these two screws do.If you pull and hold the trigger and rock the hammer back and forth, the sear should not touch the hammer hooks. Otherwise sear/hammer hook DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.

TSO Firing Pin
in CZ

Cleaned the pin and channel, but am wondering does the pin simply reinsert back into the channel, or is there an orientation?
I see there is a groove in the pin at the large end almost like a keyed slot
Any worries?
