I made the same move this year minus the dot.
I had to add material to the front of the grip so I could get a bigger area for my support hand to contact the frame. I also wrapped the grip with skate board tape.
For me personally the ergos are terrible(big meat hooks for hands) but its hard to pass up the Win With Walther money.
The biggest thing I noticed is I had to really work on locking my support hand wrist. 147gr 130pf ammo helps too.

FYI to everyone. You can add material anywhere on the grip except for thumb rest and beaver tail mods.
I added epoxy putty to the front of my grip and grip tape over it. I had no problems at Area 7 or Mid Atlantic sectionals.

Has anyone tried a S&W M&P or Sig p320 guide rod in a Q5 or PPQ m2?

Texture forward where thumbs rest????Little unclear with this still.
That was not allowed in appendix e4. I'm curious if they will write a new rule book.

I went with a KAK block that uses colt mags. Installs from the bottom. It has a bolt with washer on the top and two set screws in the magwell at the bottom. Takes 30 seconds to install/remove.
The KAK block also has last round hold open that works great.

I used the jp light hammer spring with the mid weight toggle springs.. it sits at 2lbs. I did this so I would not beat up my firing pin with the heavy toggle springs
I tried using the heavy toggle springs but it caused reset and binding issues.
Im going to polish up the trigger group tonight to see if that helps.
I will let you know what the out come is

I'm using a jp light hammer spring and the yellow coil springs in my 24 3g. pull is at 2lbs
I'm using the pins that came with the trigger.

Just got my M3K!!
So far I'm on stage 2 of the loading port. It still needs a little bit more work for quad loads.
Waiting on my taccom +9 extension.
Trigger job is next on the list along with hi-viz sight and a mid bead install.
After all that some stock stippling.
Has anyone done any pattern testing on different extended chokes?

While I am not allowed to specifically say exactly what new models are being imported because it is not 100% finalized, I can tell you that in addition to the two new models revealed at SHOT they said that Atleast three more models will be imported this year, and there will be something to hopefully make most everyone happy. Atleast one of the models will be large frame possibly two, with the addition of another small frame. I will add more info when I’m allowed to and don’t forget if there are specific models you are hoping to have imported contact Tanfoglio directly and tell them you want IFG to import it. It is working so far and Mossimo and Mateo are getting the message.
Any updates on a stock 2L or other models?

What model #'s are you looking at for the standard shadows?
If your only going to shoot USPSA then the shadow 2 is the way to go.
If you shoot any sanctioned IDPA matches then the sp01 shadow is your only option. The shadow 2 is too heavy for IDPA
-
The limited is not IDPA legal because it has a 4.75" bull/cone barrel. ESP, CDP and CCP allow bull barrels as long as they are not over 4.25" long
The limited PRO is good for SSP and ESP.
The new Stock 1 that IFG is importing is also good for SSP and ESP. Patriot Defense and Ben Stoeger pro shop sells them.

Large frame is the whole appeal for me; otherwise I'd just shoot a CZ.
Americans have man sized hands.I Agree with you!! if i wanted a small frame I would be shooting the shadow 2

On my Hornady L-N-L I tape a large thick washer 1/16-3/32 thick to the press at the location the primer seating pin would normally contact the press on the down stroke. Spin the washer every 1k rounds or so because the primer pin will leave a dimple in the washer.

Kamkaze Will the Stock 2 long be imported 1st quarter too?

The problem is fixed. I was able to get another cgw fp spring.
For some reason the spring that came with the ext fp was out of spec.
It was to short and not putting enough pressure on the fp.

EXT-FP Shadow 85 Extended Firing Pin
Yes
No
I called cgw and they claimed it was fine and is a inertia firing pin system. I call bullshit on this
-
The cgw firing pin is for the shadow. I also have a sp01 with firing pin block. I know thats not the problem
-
I installed a cgw extended firing pin but the pin is floating and sits flush with the stop plate. I expanded the spring slightly and it worked for a short time before the spring went back to its original length.
Is this normal?
The stock firing pin did not have this problem!

The prp trigger is good for ESP but not for SSP.
Parts must come from the factory. Custom shop installed parts are not legal in SSP oh the joys of IDPA

I'm down to a buttery smooth 3lb pull. Next is to work on pre travel and reset.
