  1. I'm a iron shooter 75% of the time so for me it was getting a red dot as low as possible. I went with a jpoint which I love. Shield rms is the aluminum version thats just as good if not better. 6-8 moa is the best for action shooting. the jpoint sits low enough that a can almost cowitness with my stock height front sight. a +.010 front sight would be perfect.

No currently produced Tanfoglio's are legal in IDPA.  None.

The ONLY CZ model IDPA legal is the SP-01 Shadow TARGET 2.  No other CZ's are IDPA legal, none.

Arex Rex Alpha.  42 oz.  I shoot it, it's great.  Has a Sig feel to it.

Suped up Beretta like a Langdon or a Wilson Combat, but they are on the light side 36 ounces or so.

That is it.  Maybe a Browning Hi-Power, but that thing is way outdated.

IDPA rules make it tough to find anything.

    Good luck.

    Wrong!!!

    IDPA ssp legal

    Tanfoglio stock 1

    Tanfoglio limited pro

    Tanfoglio p match pro

    CZ sp01

all CZ shadow 1's other than accu shadow and target 2

    CZ 75 all models

If you go with a CZ get the shadow 91154. by the time your done adding all the CGW parts and sights you will have more money invested in a SP01.

The shadow holds better resale value than a decked out SP01

  3. Check out the new Tanfoglio Stock 1 imported by IFG in texas.

The stock 1 was designed for IDPA and is good for uspsa.

Its basically a Stock 3 thats been shortened.

I recently got one and love it.

The nice thing with the tanfo guns is you could get a stock 2 or 3 down the road for uspsa and the ergos will be the same.

The CZ shadow 1 is also a great gun for both too.

I used to have 2 Para framed pistols with STI slides. No problem but the fit may be a bit loose.

    Thats what I'm worried about.

Its going to be a open gun so I need tight as possible.

I wont go with another para or rock island slide.

  5. No modifications to the beavertail area to stay in production.

Just installed a Sprinco trigger spring kit. I do not have a fancy pull gauge but the pull seems to have gone down by a pound. The trigger return is still positive. I like it.

    Nice!! Must be new?

I went with the home depot spring pack and misc spring for the firing pin safety plunger. Of course a little polishing helps..

Has a nice reset like a 2lb cz trigger.

I have the Springers. A friend has the TF pads, and they feel better in the hand, and are slightly longer. Go with Taylor. If I were buying them over again, I would.

Thanks!! wish I new if they used 6061 or 7075

    How?  Pics?

    Thanks,

I used epoxy putty that you can get at your local HD or Lowes.

I wrapped the grip with cling wrap then mixed the epoxy and applied it to the front and tapered the sides.

after a few hours it should be hard. Remove it then remove cling wrap and reinstall. The grip tape will hold it in place.

I use the medium back strap.
