  1. 2012 ICORE IPM stages have been posted on the ICORE web site.

This match is open to anyone, anywhere. You do not need to be a member of ICORE to participate, just get out there and have ago. This is your chance to compete against ICORE shooters from all over the world.

Download the package from the site, follow the instructions and you should be right. You have until the 31st of December 2012 to shoot this match.

Have fun and introduce someone new to ICORE. We had over 400 shooters compete last year, why don't you have a go this year.

    Regards

  2. 12" from ground to bottom of lower target.

1" between top and bottom targets.

12" gap between target edges, side to side.

In the past I have used scaled down targets. If you want to practice 50y then hold up a ruler at arms length and measure the height of your 50y target. Whatever it measures is the same measurement your indoor targets will need to be made to. This will apply to whatever distance you can practice over......

I think thats how I made the last set. Anyway it will give you a rough guide.

I took a set of scaled down targets to the IRC last year and had a few practice sessions in the motel room in the days leading up to the match.

    Good luck with the practice.

    1st Limited. Matt Sheehan

Special thanks to all the co-ordinators that made the effort to run the match at their local Club, your efforts are much appreciated.

Thanks also to all shooters that took part,I hope you found it a reasonable challenge.

    Best wishes for 2012

  5. Yes Cliff, Rich does need congratulating on his effort in shooting 3 stages on Saturday in rather poor conditions. I was in his squad and it was a pleasure to see him shoot a 2.93 on F&N. He was there before hand in a jacket and gloves to keep warm. His red dot sight had business cards taped over it to keep the rain off the lens.

Light drizzle, cold, plastic bags over the targets...........blowing in the wind and he shoots a 2.93..............brilliant effort.

I wonder what he may have shot in better conditions ?

  6. We had 10 shooters for the match. Sadly for us, most of wacked some hard cover. Still it was an enjoyable match we also chucked in a field course and Far & Near as well to round off the day.

That hard cover can be like a magnet sometimes. Might see if we can do better and will try and shoot the postal again before years end.

If you have not shot this match yet then get onto it.........

  7. Cracked 300 returns for this match this week. Including returns from

    Bendigo in Australia,

    Arizona Rocks in the USA,

    Calvisano in Italy.

3 weeks to go, so why not take up the challenge. If your Club won't run the match then shoot the stages by yourself. Down load the stages from the ICORE web site and give this annual Postal Match a go.

I won't go into results but there have been some very good scores come in including results from Eric, Neil, Pat,Roger D, Elliot, Annette, Molly, Dan.

Don't be reading the results in January, wondering where you might have finished................ shoot the match.

  8. Hi John, only one Club return from Down Under.

Good to see that a lot of Classic shooters shot the match with Dean.

124 shooters have shot this match so far. If you have not shot it yet, download a copy of the stages from the icore web site and give it a try. You know you want to give it a try otherwise you would not be reading this would you !!!

Didn't do so well the first time ?? Your welcome to shoot the match again.

We are starting to get better weather over here so my Club will run the match in December.

  9. Yes its time once again for the 2010 ICORE International Postal Match. Anybody can shoot the match, you do not need to be a member of ICORE to take part. This year along with Open and Limited we have included a Retro division.

Go to www.icore.org and get up to date on the rules if you need. You have until the 31st of December to get a score in, so download yourself a copy of the match package a give it a go.

Get out there and have some wheel fun.

  10. Pin shooter, I think I go along with you on this one. The 50yd string on F&N is the make or break for a great score. I don't think the majority of top shooters can shoot 25,10& 3 (30x) fast enough to make up for an average 50yd string. If the weather is kind to IRC I think the winning score on F&N will be between 1 and 3 seconds. No one will zero the stage.

As Bubber says F&N is a great stage to include on any practice session.

No IRC stage preview this year ! Then get out there and practice elements that are out of your comfort zone. Distance shots, partial targets, strong & weak hand, out of position, draws, reloads static and moving, get some steel practice in. In practice try and cover every skill aspect that could be thrown at you in an IRC stage.

Hope you boys enjoy the IRC this year........

  11. Results are on the ICORE web site.

Thanks to the Club co ordinators that ran the match.

Thanks to everyone that shot the match.

We could not run Retro this year as the match had started before Retro was introduced. For he 2010 match there will be a division for Retro.

If you did not take part in the this match this time then why not make the effort this year to take part or even run the match at your Club. Its all about getting out there and promoting the fun and enjoyment that shooting a revolver can bring.

    Thanks again

    Regards
