Grabagun had one in stock, I got an email. I'm local to them so I thought I'd see if I could handle it before I bought. First of all these clowns don't answer their phone ever. I wasted an hour driving in traffic to go to their retail location. When I got there I was told they keep guns in the warehouse and would not pull one out to let me check it out/buy it. The worker told me to "go to a big box" store to check it out. Screw these guys.
So I'm still looking for one in 9.
I held a TS Orange 9mm at my local gun store last sunday and knew I had to have one ( in .40 ) . Thanks to Stuart for jumping in this thread , purchased a TS Orange .40 and should be arriving tomorrow.

If only they have them in .40 S&W I'd be all over it

At least they are taking care of you , I see your a fellow IX owner as so . Any crazy mods done?

Handled a TS orange in 9mm today, instantly fell in love. Grip geometry fit my much better than a standard TS

Yes you're so right, not sure why I typed yellow instead of green lol

Xtreme 147gr plated bullets w/ 3.6gr Win-231 loaded to 1.155 out of my Shadow Custom ... soft/accurate load that I've ran for awhile. I'm actually able to load longer with these bullets ( 1.165) but since I load for my Shadow and my brothers Sp-01 I keep it at that length for both our guns .

Xtreme 147gr / 3.6gr Win-231 loaded to 1.155 nets me 129PF , I've tried Clays and Titegroup but somehow my Sp-01 Shadow likes this load.

disconnector. main spring of your choice. trigger return spring and pin. recoil spring appropriate to your load. barrel bushing. that's what i'd consider the minimum.
I agree , the disconnector CZ custom offers ( the Pre-B disconnector ) has a short reset . I have one in my Shadow and comparing it to another SP-01 with CGW disco I like the CZC better.

Did you change the red fiber optic to yellow or it came that way?

i feel the exact opposite, i think the p07/09 guns are heinous looking hahaha. yeah when cz usa said on their fb page that shipping will begin the end of january, i wonder if that meant the shipping into the US. and tthheeeenn the shipping to distributors and tttthhheeennn the shipping to customers.
What I dislike on the P07/09s the most is the DA trigger from factory after shooting one

I'm curious myself how the P10C stacks up against P-07

I don't have any experience with that particular custom shop model, but I have built Open guns from both Tactical Sports and CZ75s so I know it's possible. Is there any particular reason you want to start with that particular CZ? You could save a few hundred if you start with a 75 SA. Check out this thread:
Being that the upper is that of a Tac-Sport I figured it would be easier to acquire a comp for it . That and I like the idea of having a beefier upper slide and keeping the lower frame of a basic cz75 which I'm comfortable with.
-
Just looking to see if anyone has done this already and if so what was involved?
I'm considering this route to go open class for reason being that I prefer the lower frame grip of the cz75 vs that of the tac sport.

Will do.
I got the Czechmate for $2160. Normally they'd be much more which was what put me off them in the first place. It would be a little disappointing if its not somewhat superior to a $1700 Gold Team.
BTW .. the mags on the Gold Team work well out of the box, or with extensions. And you now have the 170mm MBX mags.
The fit and finish on the GT is also very good
Was the Czechmate new? if so how much , and where did you get it at?

Probably about 2-3000 through it (I mainly shoot Limited and recently Carry Optics).
I shoot Tanfos and CZs in USPSA and IDPA, so having a common feel to the guns helps a bit when I switch between them. So I would probably buy it again.
But .. prepare for some load development, and prepare for some tweaking to get it running 100%
That said, I just bought a Czechmate ...
Let me know how the Czech mate runs vs the gold team match

Mine has been sensitive to load OAL, and doesn't like HP bullets. I now use 124 RN Xtreme.
The port design means you may need a bit more powder to hit your PF - search the forum for a few good threads on this one.
Aside from that I think the ergonomics are great. And the trigger is fantastic after tweaking.
Thanks for your input, how many rounds have you put through yours?
If you had to do it again, would you go with this gun , or another route?

I'm looking to purchase an already built open gun and this model caught my attention. I currently shoot a sp-01 shadow in production and want to venture into the open class without having to build a open gun .
How do these guns run out of the box? Anything modification wise would I need to do? And most importantly, how is the reliability to it?
If anyone has any other suggestions on a ready built race gun under 2k range, by all means I'm open to it.
Thanks to all

Which 1200 FPS shells worked 100% for your M3K? How many OZ of shot did those shells have?
13 hours ago, Rob72 said:1375 rounds of Norma? Wellll. If you have a recoil reducer, take it out. If you have a hard sidesaddle, take it off and/or switch for nylon. Other than that, start with a RP 10/22 mainspring in place of your hammer spring. You can get M2000 action springs pretty cheaply from Numrich, so picking up a couple of those to modify could be worthwhile. I'm not a 3 gunner, but I put a good bit of effort into learning the inertial systems in the early 90s, and spent some detailed time with the M2000.
Yes I know... haha . No recoil reducer nor sidesaddle ( not quite sure what that is ) , also what is a RP 10/22 . Do you mean ruger 10/22 ? Thanks for all your input

I'd like to avoid cutting springs if possible

Estate Super Sport Competition Target Load 1 oz. / 7.5 shot from Academys , I just looked at the box now and it says 1235 fps . but still the lightest recoil I've felt vs all the winchester and remington I've tried and it cycles them excellent

I recently purchased a brand new Stoeger M3k for 3-Gun as my first shotgun , so far I've put roughly 300 or so rounds of various ammo through it all rated at 1200fps or higher .
My issue now is trying to get it to cycle/run some Norma 12 gauge ammo I purchased, went crazy on black friday and purchased 55 boxes ( I know rookie mistake ) . Boxes stated 1200 fps so I figured hey why not at $4.87 a box / free shipping.
I've followed some steps online and youtube to help the shotgun cycle these loads :
1. Sand/Polish magazine tube that recoil spring sits on
2. Sand/Polish contact points on the Action Bar that holds bolt
3. Sand/Polish the two rear parts of the bolt that comes in contact with the hammer and carrlier latch when bolt comes rearward to stock
4. Polish contact points bolt makes with hammer and carrlier latch lever
Another idea that I'm pondering since my issue lies in a FTE issue , is to change out the hammer spring to a lighter one . Reason being when I rack the bolt back you can feel the most tension in the action when the bolt makes contact with the hammer.
Thanks to all those who can chime in and help me out.

Are you staking CGW pins? I loctited mine. I thought those pins were too hard to stake
They are the factory hammer pins I believe , how has your pins been holding up since the loctite has been applied?

I don't see how polishing the hammer where it contacts the seat can hurt you, unless you take off too much metal. But that holds the same for every part and surface that requires polishing and not sanding/stoning. But what do you think polishing that part of the hammer will achieve for you, extra smoothness?
Yes I'm just aiming for a smoother trigger that's all

That LGS had it for $1,870ish or so retail price Top Gun Houston....I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out CZC pricing over the board....but I will tell you it is by far the best deal out there for a in-stock TSO
