  1. About to mount a Leupold DP Pro onto my Shadow Sp-01 for CO division and noticed the factory cz box won't fit the gun even if I try to trim the foam padding for it...

So my question for those with this setup is , what case did you guys end up going with ? I'm looking to stay with a hard case and not a soft one , that can also hold my mags

JGus, I copied the link from Photobucket called "Direct", and then clicked on "Insert other media" in the reply box on this forum.  I pasted the direct address from Photobucket into "Insert image from URL", and it worked!

Thanks for the tip ! Been trying to figure out for the longest how to insert images... so here is an image of my TSO that I've added the CZC oversized safety and an aftermarket thumbrest for it from IPSCALEX

Here are pictures of my TS.  I did a grip reduction on it, then put grip tape on the front and rear straps.  The thumb rest will change.  When it does, I'll have the slide, rest, grips and magwell Cerakoted.  Not sure of the color yet, but thinking of Burnt Bronze.  I've turned it into a dedicated Steel Challenge gun for this year.  When I get the two 9mms built I'll decide whether to turn it back into a Limited gun, or leave it.  I have an Open upper for it, but don't use it anymore.  I have two other Open guns.

Nice gun, how did you go about uploading the pics like that?? Sorry for the off topic question

  4. I got a Orange to shoot limited because of the thumbrest, tight fitting of slide/barrel, and the grip geometry and checkering .

The factory thumbrest sucks, so I upgraded mine to an aftermarket one for the czechmate from IPSCALEX

Also, I got mine for $1,630 or so from CZC

Aww, I wish I would've known that. I bought one from him and had to Jimmy rig some screws from home Depot

I ended up using my factory screws and it has been holding fine with some blue loctite

  6. I posted my aftermarket installed thumbrest from ipscalex in this thread ....it did move the position slightly forward and gave more surface area for my thumb to rest on ....just mention my name if you decide to purchase from him as he will include necessary screws to fit our guns

  7. Does the LS-P weigh less than 45oz?

I was looking at a S2 for Carry Optics gun but found out it won't make the weight cut

Now that I've got mine (40) working and just like I want it I'm going to put it up for sale

I think I have been ruined by shooting production class 2 years, at a match I missed the 9 immediately and not reloading at 10 seems like missing out on some of the fun.

Will get an add up sometime fairly soon.

How much are you letting it go for?

  9. Be sure to add blue loctite to your grip screws and rear sight screws as those will work themselves out after a range trip or two.

I personally run a 12# recoil spring to go with my 200gr Acme/ 4.0gr W-231 major load , left the HS stock , blended magwell , and added a bigger safety and thumbrest

What thumb rest is that? Did you have to drill any new holes for it to mount?

No, I just had to use some washers so the rear of thumbrest doesn't rub on the frame....ipscalex czechmate rest

Any think the safety on their TSO is too stiff?  I'm talking about the effort it takes to rotate it?  The force required to rotate mine is about as high as the force to click into the detents.  I wish it was smoother and lighter between the detents.

Anyone ever improve this with polishing?  If so, where?

    Thanks

Mine is stiff as well... one recommendation to smoothen the engagement of the safety is to 1000grit sand the detent that contacts the safety. Haven't done it to mine yet, I just got used to the stiffness . Others like this because it prevents the safety from accidentally flipping up
