Yep, it dropped right in.  Can you post pics of the issue you're having?

I reassembled it,  to fit i would have to fit that safety....being that it belongs to a friend I can't modify it

The thicker stub near the actual safety is what got hung up going in, not the thinner shaft that the sear spring rest in

Just an FYI, right after I got done cleaning my S2, I checked the frame width of the TSO and S2.  To my surprise, the width of the frame on the TSO and S2 are identical. I was able to install the S2 safety into my TSO and I think this safety is the way to go with the TSO.

The stock safeties are too far forward for those of us with small hands to reach. The CZC larger rocker safety is too easy to accidentally engage (as I became all too aware of at the Alabama sectional last week).  Not to mention the right side ambi safety can be held upward if you get a little too high. The thin right side on the S2 safety eliminates this issue.

I'm not sure if CZ has these up for sale yet but if they are, I believe they are the way to go. If nothing else it should help some of you justify a shadow2.

After my match tomorrow i'll see if the S2 mag release is compatible with the TSO as well.  The S2 mag release is awesome.

Attempted to install a S2 wide safety in my TSO just now and it didn't fit... did yours drop right in? I was able to physically get the s2 safety to go into the frame if I removed the entire sear assembly.. once that was out it was apparent the safety shaft that goes into the frame was too wide

You need to know the main spring weights as well.  Two springs are compressed during recoil -- the main spring and recoil spring.  Both effect the motion of the slide, and therefore, the shooters perception of what happens with the pistol during recoil.

My TSO has a 20# mainspring in it , what are you guys running for your mainsprings?

I've been happy shooting 200g rnds in the TS with an 11# spring.  I use the CGW recoil springs and they fit all the full-size pistols.

Thanks, my TSO came with what I believe two spare 11# springs and was equipped with a 16#. When I shot the 11# lastnight in a match my friend told me the gun was throwing the brass way to far , suggesting I try a 13# or 14#

  5. I did try to search this before I posted, but no luck in the info. I need.

Currently loading .40 major ( 200gr ACME / 4.0gr 231 ) and I wanted to know what are all you guys who load .40 major; what recoil spring # have you found ideal for your guns?

Also are the recoil springs from the full size cz 75 and TS compatible with one another?

So, how much for those parts total? Trying to give her a ballpark figure for total package.

    The CGW Pro-Package retails $280 https://cajungunworks.com/product/75115-production-legal-pro-package-kit-for-manuel-safety/

I'd go that route , plus a F/O front sight , Lok Thin Grips , CGW 10x Bushing , polishing internals and you have a sweet shooter... I have 2 Sp-01 ( a basic model and shadow sp-01) both with work done.

If I had to do it all over again I'd just buy a basic sp-01 and do the CGW prokit

Can she make it SA only?

If so, I'd get the CGW race hammer (or CZC hammer), CGW adjustable sear, SA trigger, and ditch the DA disco and associated swag.

This would be a short crisp trigger pull of around -4.0 pounds with stock springs.

I agree with above, on my brother's sp-01 I installed CGW disco, short reset , CZC prod. hammer, 13# mainspring, 11# recoil, polished internals and I got him a slightly under 3# SA and 7# DA

Shot my 9mm TSO for the first time today and it's an absolute tack driver, I've never shot a gun this accurate and the trigger is a dream.  Only hiccup was one live round got jammed in the gun.  I fired a shot and the empty ejected but the gun did not go fully back into battery and was locked up.  I had to grab the slide and smack the back of the grip pretty hard to dislodge the round.  I then reloaded the round back in the mag and loaded it and the gun still didn't quite go into battery so I smacked the back of the slide and it went into battery.  I was able to fire the round then ran fine for the rest of the rounds.

Long story short, could it be a round out of tolerance on OAL that the gun didn't like?  Was shooting 115 winchester white box factory ammo only.  Other 99 rounds were flawless.

By the way my buffer in the recoil assembly didn't have any wear or visible damage at all after 100 rounds.

I removed my buffer right out of the box before I shot mine (.40s&w) and it ran fine with 3 boxes of winchester wb , could be buffer ??

Also check your grip and sight screws guys, I found one of my rear sight screws wasn't all the way on and a grip screw was starting to work itself loose on one side... not sure if the grip screw loosening has to do with me shooting .40 . but the sight screw was definitely odd to see it almost loose from box

Spoke with CZ customer support and they said the two extra recoil springs are 11 and 13 pounds.

    shorter one is 11

Good to know and thanks for sharing , did they say how much pounds the spring that comes in gun is?

anyone else hitting really high with their tso 40?
i have my rear sight cranked all the way down, it still seems to be 3-4 inches high at 50ft.
anyone know the front sight height?

My TSO shot super low, like 3" low at a 8 yd target, 3 or so full dial turns to bring elevation up solved that . Now she's on point

just replace it or make it a dry fire only magazine.

I decided to give Mec-gar a call and they will provide me a new mag after I send in this one... their customer service is great for all those wondering . I've had this mag for well over a year and many match use

  12. Issue I'm having is the mag would come out after the first shot from start. I tested today with another brand new mecgar 17rd. mag and issue was not the gun.

This troublesome mag started doing this consistently last match as well, thought it was me but it wasn't... has anyone run into this issue with their mags? I always use this very mag as my first mag every match loaded to prod. class capacity . Some of my friends told me the lip area of the mag appeared bent slightly but when I measured with my calipers both my new and old troublesome mag have same readings.

I would skip the xtremes. My ts hates them. I have had the most luck with 180gr black bullets. 4.5 n320. 1.115. My 2nd choice would be 190gr ibejiheads 4.1 hp38. 1.110. I have to load mine really short to feed properly in my gun. Anything longer I get failure to feeds. Most ts owners I believe load around 1.120-1.125.

    Thanks for the input

  14. Just picked up a CZ Tactical Sport Orange .40 and wanted to know what my fellow CZ shooters loads are ?

As well as what type of bullets and weight you guys prefer ( 180 or 200 gr) ; I'm looking at picking up some Xtreme plated and ACME coated 10/40 bullets in both weights to try but some insight would be nice.

Xtreme 147gr 9mm bullets has been what I've loaded mostly for my SP-01 in production , tried the ACME but my gun liked plated more.

For the 9mm TSO owners out there that don't reload, any issues with factory ammo (WWB, Federal etc)?

Also I've seen some pretty low trigger weights on regular TS, in the 1.5 lbs range, is the TSO around the same or lighter?

Measured my TSO pull weight at around 1.5lb. give or take

Does anyone else's safety have a drag to it versus a tic?  My shadow has an audible tic off/on and off as does my regular SP-01.    My TSO however has a bit of resistance to it over the whole up/down.

Mine is the same way , safety is a little tough to engage/disengage... I plan to hit my safety detent with 1000 grit to smoothen it out

I installed the CZC big safety and deleted the thumbrest. It wasn't far enough forward for me. But I may revisit it.

How do you like that big safety vs. the one it had? I have those grips on my Sp-01 shadow , love those grips

Finally got my TSO in 40 S&W today. I can't wait to play with it at the range. I also have a holster on the way. Should be here by the end of the week. I need to buy a 650 now ... the never ending list of expenses.

I got mine saturday and shot it Sunday, you won't be disappointed with the gun ... what kind of holster did you get for it?

I also use Clays for Major under 180's loaded long, but just didn't want to push it with 200's.

I know Clays works with 200's.  Did not see flow or flattened primers...just an abundance of caution on my part stopped me.

If I want to use 200's I go N320, but would consider using 231/HP again too.

What are your loads with Win-231 for the 180/200grs that you recommend for Limited .40?
