Made it unscathed last season and don't want to do that again this upcoming season.
So what do you take with you? I have an STI platform.

Are all firing pin springs the same as far as ponds?

Title says it all. Need to buy replacement spring and wanting to know what's recommended.

Bent my stock pin tonight. Time to buy a new one and mind as well buy a new spring as well.
My edge is a 40 and would like some recommendations.

Thanks guys! I've been watching the CK arms guns closly and been toying with the idea for those if I go the plastic route. There's a guy who's going to let me shoot his metal gripped sti Sunday so I'll see them but hearing some of you guys talk maybe it's more of the right of passage because you have a metal gripped gun. I would really love an Atlas Titan but $3500 is a lot of cash. No disrespect to Atlas. Adam has done work for me in the past and I understand he has to keep the lights on.

Sorry guys. Dunno why my original post came in twice and I can't find out how to delete this one.

I shoot a edge now in limited and love the gun. I keep toying with the idea of buying a metal grip gun for the new season but can't get over the cost. The "cheapest" I've found is the Atlas Gun Works "Titan" and that's $3500 big ones which is a big jump to the $2k used edge I bought last year. I know the shpeel about how a custom gun has more man hours has more care into building it and all that but I keep saying to myself, damn I can get 2 guns for the price of a metal grip USPSA pistol. I also keep saying to myself that Shane Coley won area 8 shooting a freaking Glock, why the hell are you going to pay $3k+ for a freaking new limited gun?
The plan is to buy a "new" gun and use the one I'm currently using as a back up. Back up being key so I can have some peace of mind again this season.
I don't know what to think about buying another used gun because I feel I've hit the jack pot and have never had any problems with the used gun I bought now. I've put atleast 10k thru it and don't know how much the previous owner out thru it.
What do you guys think?

I think everyone is in agreement that the biggest pain in the ass is trimming brass.
I'm just making 223 plinking loads for my ar and wondering if the case length really is all THAT critical when loading 55gr fmjs?

At that weight, I'd bet you cannot load them short enough to fit an AR magazine.
If you want to load them one at a time, they would be a good long range bullet.
Can't you load them at normal mag length?
why would that be an issue? Pressure issues I guess?
-
Title says it all. Loading for 223 and want to try Varget bass on what serria says for their 69 or 77 grain bullets. I am using w748 ball and my Dillion powder throw works great. Haven't heard anything good as far as consistency using that throw because of the stick powder.
-
Imo I would go with 43.8. That way if your powder throw is a little high or a little low you will still be in a great node based off what you shot. Have you played with oal?
when I did ocw I found the node, then I played with the oal. It really brought out the potential accuracy from my rifle.

Just got a WOA 1:7 mid 18" and didn't know serra made these heavy bullets. I know 69 and 77 shoot great but has anyone tried these really heavy bullets in an AR15? Or are these mostly good on bolt guns?

To put up a WTB post for an AR charging handle. What a joke.
Do you have one to sell?
-
Wouldn't mind trying this out
-
Im getting one to start the 2017 season.

Check out the guns for sale here. You can get a decent edge to shoot limited in then upgrade down the road
-
I've never shot a 6" but I have an edge and I love it.

I have found that a 0.030 - 0.040 width difference between the front and rear sights provides optimal size light bars.
Thank you. I read your write up about sites and it was very helpful

I don't know.

If I shot single stack I would look at the Springfield RO. Imo

Wondering what you guys use:
- bolt carrier group
- bolt
- recoil system
- adjustable gas block
slowly building my rifle and just doing my research/price comparison. Also if you guys are selling these, let me know because I'll be interested.
