Yes, and that is my problem — flat arches. If I could have a shoe with arch support like Brooks and the tread of an inov-8, that would be a match made in heaven. I haven’t found it yet.
I have flat feet and use arch support in my tennis shoes but for matches I wear Timberland hiking boots and they work great and I don't need arch support with them.
The extra ankle support helps me too.

I have Taylor Freelance that I use for my Glock and my FN 509. I really like them.

I have a 507 Comp, SRO and Burris Fastfire IV. The FF4 is a pretty good optic and I have it on my backup gun that was cut for a Venom originally. Great optic and fairly durable so far but only about 1k rounds through it. I did drop it once taking it out of the bag and it didn't lose zero.
The SRO is a 2.5 and I run just the 2.0 dot on the 507 Comp. The 507 is crisp. The 8 circle around the 2 is nice too but I don't use it often. It is a hard choice between the SRO and Holosun honestly. I've had great luck out of both and the SRO has about 2 1/2 seasons of USPSA Carry Optics without any issue. The Holosun just the past few months but no issues with it and it has held zero.
Even if money is not an issue the 507 Comp is very hard to beat, IMO. -
I've had tinnitus in my left ear since I was 17 (52 this year). It is the loudest thing I hear no matter what noise is around me. Makes certain tones indistinguishable and they blend in to the sound on my ear.
In 2016 I had my stapede bone replaced in my left ear and it didn't do anything for the tinnitus.
I've never really gotten used to it but manage. I really wish there was a solution.

I prefer my PCC over my AR15. I am thinking of selling my AR15 and getting an AR10 in 308 or 6.5 CM but I don't think I can give up the PCC. It is a great home defense weapon and fun to shoot in competition on occasion.

I don't see prod going to 140's it seems the writing on the wall says it'll be 15 rounds. Which is something, but 140's would be more popular IMO.
I think if it went 140's it would move needles. Most likely striking a pretty good blow to Limited especially at the local level. Granted that's not saying much is it? Right now Prod struggles to get 10 people to be recognized as a division at majors. I'd guess a 140 division wouldn't have that problem.
Now certainly we're not talking about production suddenly becoming crazy popular, I wont rival CO or get the hype that LO has right now. I could see it being the biggest iron sight division. Not a high bar, but you'd notice the shift.
Honestly I don't really think major brings anything meaningful to the table, and I don't think we need mags over 140 in any division. I guess give PCC big mags as mag gauges would be a problem in that division.
I agree with everything you said.

Do you honestly think that making Production a L!mited M!nor Division to where let us say the restriction is 141 mm mags that moves the needle though?
Anecdotal but I know of 2 shooters locally who stopped shooting b/c they wanted LMinor to have it's own division. They don't like optics, they don't want 15 rounds, they don't want standard mags. They want all that you can get from Limited but a minor only division for it.
I can't say there a lot of others that make up a large enough population nationally to move the needle but since they stopped shooting because of it we may not know how many others have done the same.

I really wish the BOD would stop worrying about comments made on the Internet and just focus on things that matter.
It seems they spend an extraordinary amount of time worrying about what is said about them than anything else.
Fact of the matter there is a very small percentage of membership who even know who is on the board and even less that read any of the "leaks." The BOD is wasting a lot of time focusing on that which then just gives even more fodder for ridicule.
That doesn't mean that the comments are without warrant but if the BOD stops worrying about the "Internet" comments that forces more communication directly. Not saying I trust they listen to that much but doing a polygraph because things get out on the Internet is fairly immature and paranoid. -

This is SC, so you only need 5 shots anyway.
DOH! Obviously this idiot is not paying attention! (the idiot is me)

Adding LO sandwiched between those two divisions there will still be no discernable difference on the ground between the three divisions. So the only reason to sperate them is to give out more trophies.
I think the reason is to reduce capacity on CO.

Did you have to call to get the refund? I had 3 years left on my 3 year membership and upgraded. Paid full freight.
I emailed Heather at USPSA and she took care of it pretty quickly.

What is large to you? 1000-1500 people or so? If that number is close where are you finding a range and staff for an event that size? 500 seems to be pushing the limits as is, but I could definitely be missing something
Those questions are not rhetorical, I am interested in your thoughts
Also, if you are not going to recognize low turnout divisions, I would favor dropping them all together, at a nationals
Honestly, I haven't put the thought into it. I know Ben Berry is a proponent of it.
I think the money would be less than 1,000 competitors but they isn't something I have data to back up. I do recognize a lot of names when looking at nationals so one big one would reduce the overlap.
Not trying to defend the idea, just mentioning some other alternatives.
Ultimately, I don't think we need to have a National for every division and at the same time an fine with a lot of divisions.
One thing I do like is that we are a small enough sport we can make changes and try different things.

Maybe on the divisions no one shoots like l ten, single stack, revolver, production, and even limited at this point, an area match could be designated as the Nationals for that division
Or, as some have proposed, just one large Nationals instead of several? Then people have to choose their preferred platform instead of shooting in multiple divisions. Don't recognize awards for any division under a certain amount of participation.
I think part of our sport that is fun is more divisions and if I wanted to I could get C class in all of them

Production 15 is likely coming. The 10 round legal limits were gone nationally in 2004, and they are about to be gone in the holdout states through legal cases and the recent Supreme Court precedent in Bruen.
But the real question is why suddenly all these threads about tinkering with the divisions? What's the big deal about having a division with smaller participation? When you go to a restaurant, do you write reviews suggesting they drop the menu items that are less commonly ordered? Or we just leave people enjoying what their pleasure is and celebrate variety of choices?
I shoot CO and I will be moving to LO regardless of what the changes are but I would like to see CO go to 15 too. LO stay 141. I like the idea of iron lo cap (15 being lo cap) and iron hi cap then optics lo cap and optics hi cap. I think everyone gets caught up in the literal interpretation of the names and not what is trying to be accomplished with the division.
As to having divisions with no participation, I completely I agree. It really doesn't matter if there are 15 divisions. Yes, there is Nationals implications but honestly that impacts less than 1,000 people so if we only recognize the highest participation divisions for Nationals that shouldn't be a problem except some complainers. With the exception of SS and Revolver I think if there is less than 10% representation at Area matches then it does not get a place at a National. Single Stack and Revolver are the two most influential pistol types in history so recognizing them I think is fair.
I know that more divisions "water down" things but I don't think it matters really. Those who want to compete at the highest level will gravitate towards certain divisions and those who want to play with certain configurations will go towards more specialized divisions. Even if we had a Sharks with Lasers division it wouldn't matter -
I think if they separate Limited into two divisions Limited Major would get less people than Revolver and LM will fight it out with Prod 15 for participation

.So essentially, I keep my reloader and components handy for the bad times and enjoy the good times when I can buy factory for about the same price as I can make it if that makes sense.
I still reload during low ammo price times because it keeps things consistent and I just stay on top of components. I try to keep 2 years worth at a time which gets easier as I don't shoot as often as I did.

I shoot with quite a few people who shoot mpa. All of them run well.
I've gotten to know a few of their sponsored shooters and hands down they are great people.

Looks like you did a good job.
My wife saw me reading them and told me I had the same look on my face as when I'm trying to figure out what she is saying when she is drunk and mad. I can usually do either or but not both

Its going to be interesting to see what comes of the fundraiser for a lawsuit
By the time anything comes of the lawsuit hopefully we will have replaced most of the problematic BOD members.

They were probably busy at Nationals. I have reached out via email and Facebook a few times with questions and always got quick responses. Love the company.

But if you're not a member, the opinion doesn't matter.
That is the attitude that brings in new blood for sure
Personally, I feel non members opinion are just as important. Especially around a topic that could be why they don't join.

i feel like outside of guys rocking safari land type holsters that require the light for safety and functionality, and allowing it to draw in a few more tactical dudes to the sport, it’s really kinda silly and serves no practical application to the shooting of USPSA stages.
I put a light and thumb rest takedown lever on my Carry Optics gun when I started shooting LO (and a magwell). I LOVED the look but it did not help in performance at all and I really didn't notice it was there. I took the light and thumb rest off and didn't notice it was off. The magwell helps but that is it.
I have gone back to CO and took the magwell off but if I go to LO full time I'll only add the magwell back on my plastic gun and leave the rest alone. -
There needs to be a rethinking of membership and activity fees. Not sure how it is really structured but I read that activity fees are the same for members and non members.
No incentive to be a member of you aren't doing majors. But if activity fees were higher for non members then clubs could help incentivize getting members because they would charge higher fees to compensate so there is a financial pay back by being a member and paying less match fees.
Anyone know if I'm accurate on my thinking in that? Like I said I don't know what the fees are so I may have heard wrong but based on what I heard I was surprised it is the same.

I don’t think it’s an advantage, just “different”. Like I said, I won’t replace any of my SRO’s with it, but the next time I need another red dot, I will definitely consider it.
I just put a 507 comp on my gun and like the 2moa with 8moa circle. I am keeping my SRO for now to see the difference after awhile and to make sure the 507 stands up to the abuse.

I was happy in CO but do have an MPA LOC on order but only because of my experience with them.
I wanted to upgrade and was looking at CZ's mostly but decided on an MPA. I have met and shot with a few of their shooters and they are good people.
I know the gun won't improve my results but I also feel good about spending money with them knowing the people and the way they have sponsored a lot of things in my area.
