Multiple internal differences and the big one externally is grip size. Is it worth the extra? I think that is all up to the individual.

The Stock 3 basically needs a complete overhaul, which ends up costing the same as the Shadow 2 out of the box. To be fair, an out of the box Shadow 2 might need a bit more work to perform as good as an optimized Stock 3, but probably not that much. And as mentioned, there are internal changes that could be seen as improvements.

Not mention the cost will be close to the same once you replace all the factory parts.
Appreciate all the comments, now I'd like to give it a try if I can find one,
with that being said, I just made the switch from Glock to CZs (had S2 before, grip just too large for my small hand), I need to shoot a lot more to fully appreciate the awesomeness of CZs

Well, as much as I loved the LP, I decided to stick with my Shadow this year. I'll probably end up trying the Shadow 2 before I go back to a tanfo.
Shadow2 looks identical to Stock 3, I wonder if it is really worth the extra dollar.

I just saw the short dust cover!!
I also looked at the eaa 2017 catalog...not there either.

Maybe they want sell more Stock II

I bet reloads can be done while sleeping with a magwell on there! For me, CZ are already easy to reload.
Lol, maybe not as easy as modified tanfo magwell, I wish we can do the same kind of bevel to CZs

I thought the Titan does come on the extreme line.
It's a moot point for me because I'm gonna shoot my CZ all year. Maybe next year I'll switch over. I do love the Tanfo!
1Current extreme has delta hammer I think. I tried both CZ and Tanfo, the grip of CZ just fit my hand better, but I'd like to try small frame tanfos, wish EAA will import those again.
BTW, as you mentioned in another topic, Limited Pro is no long on the EAA 2017 catalog. I checked Tanfoglio 2017 catalog, and there is no Limited pro either, seems like it was replaced by the new Stock I pistol. So, limited Pro discontinued?

They haven't already made 2k? Haven't they been out for a while?
Titian hammer does not come installed on current extreme line pistols we see in the States I believe. But new one does, they are on the tanfoglio 2017 catalog.

Stock 3 could be made to make weight.
Nobody can prove it can't make weight with the right parts replaced, so it's legal. Then if it's legal, the Titan hammer is legal.

Why not remove grips completely, no rule said you can't shoot without grips
You can also put polymer guide rod in it, punch holes on the magazine tube, remove the rear sight,
However, we still have another problem here, titan hammer does not come installed on any factory pistols yet (current extreme line pistols in the States), but they will be in the future according to the Tanfoglio 2017 Catalog, I guess will just have to wait then.
Almost, just wait until they made 2k of new stock 3 extreme this year.

"Don't ask, don't tell."
You asked.
Oops.
The only way to make it legal "again," from what I understand, is to create a 43oz stock III extreme.
I know you can do it.

I heard Stock 1 Extreme is SSP legal
I checked Tanfoglio 2017 catalog, there is no Stock 1 extreme nor limited pro

What about CZC hammers on Shadow? Are they SSP legal?
I believe CZUB makes all CZC comp hammers.

I am not an expert in CZ parts, but if a Shadow uses a factory hammer manufactured for a non-SSP legal model, then the Shadow is illegal too, correct? I guess the key is that you have to pin point the specific hammer to the specific model that is SSP legal. It can be hard... I know people shoot their Shadow in SSP with CGW hammer, comp hammer etc, but I never know if those hammers are from an SSP legal CZ pistol or not.
You are right. However, there are actually few shadows from CZUB that came with comp hammer installed, namely shadow line and shadow orange, since we rarel see those pistols on the market, I am assuming they made this on purpose.

Xtreme parts come from the factory in the xtreme pistols.
but none of the xtreme pistols are SSP legal.

my friend had same problem, he actually send his slide to dawson to do the custom fit.

Hmmm.......
I noticed they're not listed in the Tanfo catalog anymore.
you are right, I just checked, that's interesting, are they discounted? no wonder they are out everywhere.
I also noticed a new offering from SAR, looks like a tanfo limited custom knock off
-
Are you looking for a gun that shoots both USPSA and IDPA?
they are hard to find now, try gunbroker maybe
-
I saw a youtube video today which point out the illegality of Titan hammer on Ltd Pro in IDPA SSP division, here is the rule I found from the 2017 IDPA rule book,
IDPA Rule 8.2.1.2
section C.
Magazine releases, slide stops, safety levers, de-cocking levers, hammers, and triggers, that are stock on one SSP
legal firearm may be used on another SSP legal firearm from the same manufacturer provided they are drop in replacements. Parts in this list must come factory installed on standard production firearms. Special parts that are available installed only from a factory custom shop are not eligible in SSP.
From what I understand, this rule kicks out both Delta and Titan hammer, possibly other extreme parts as well.
What do you guys think?
-
43oz I think
-
Just go to the USPSA match on Mar 26 at clear creek county sportsman's club, ask match director Cy, he shoots Tanfo limited custom.
-
CZ hammer spring will work.

Anybody know if Baby Eagle II (with rail) will work in a Bladetech Holster built for Glock 17?
Thx
