Which is probably the extractor tension is a little light. I thought the ckarms guns typically come with instructions for how many aftec springs and when to add and whatever, based on how many rounds through it

Yes, there will be a match hotel, keep abreast to Bill's (MD) email and FB blasts
The Best (I'm biased since I know the MD and are part of his team...??)
Yes
No, not insane

I know their barrels used to be made in South Korea so this is not surprising to me.

Beven is the best

Anything up to 140mm will be 11 coil

OP states he has Gram's springs and followers so the springs are designed correctly.

1. Is that near the bottom of the tube? Looks like a compressed spring and maybe the basepad I am seeing?
2. Does your magazine (magazines) have control ribs going down the sides of the tube? I seem to recall Tanfoglio mags having that?
If yes to both my questions then the follower is getting hung up on the bottom of those control ribs. Smooth those areas out and the problem should go away.
Again, assuming I am correct the tube gets wider at the bottom so the rounds want to spread out. You really can't change that but since Beven designs his spring and follower to ride the right side of the tube that small transition needs to be smooth. Dremel, sanding drum and 400 and 600 wet/dry sandpaper will take care of it.
Good luck

Couldn't tell you, my only objective was to see how close I was to making major/get a starting point. When the time comes to start experimenting with it again I'll start loading at 9.5 and probably go up to 10.0, see where those land and at that point see how the gun is reacting with each load over major.

I did try 9.2 grains behind a 124 rn cmj mg. Avg. Velocity was 1311, which was the low 160's pf in my gun.

My remembrance on this might be backward but at least for the 9mm/38 tubes the 1st generation new style had 9mm/38 super stamped in them. The latest generation has only 9mm. Someone who bought the new style when they first came out earlier last year and did not chuck them in the garbage can verify what the 1st generation tubes had stamped on them.

The inherent problem in both iterations of the new style STI tubes is the double stack to single stack transition area is off, hence the nose dives. "Maybe" an aftermarket spring and follower will appear to correct the nose dive issue but the reality is the problem is still there.
Why do I say "both iterations" of the new style tubes? When they originally came out the nose dive issues were prevalent. Some will remember STI had a fire sale of the new style magazines in late 2017, something like buy 2 get 2 free and the such. That helped clear out inventory of those 1st generation new style tubes. Knowing the nose dive issues they went back to the actual manufacturer they contracted to make the new tubes and tried to reposition the control rib in the double stack to single stack area. That is the current generation, which still is not reliable. Otherwise, everything else about the new style tubes is built well.
You'll notice on Atlas's FB page he has a short video of what they discovered and how they are fixing it. Luckily the dog does not get shot....

At our local club we don't charge the new shooter for the first time shooting our match; does not matter if they are new to shooting or already experienced in competitive shooting. Majority of the time they come back again and gladly pay the match fee.

The potential for more capacity over Dawson's BP's is available in Gram's BP's and TTI BP's since the internal surface on the bottom of both BP's have a slight taper. Dawson's do not have this, it's flat.
Personally I prefer Gram's BP's over any other brand.
Good luck

You need to contact CK Arms and ask them if they bevel the bottom of their frames to accept current Infinity tubes. Sounds like they don't? If you do a search (I forget where it is) you'll find where the frame modification is the proper fix. Messing with the mag catch hole or mag release is not a proper fix, as you'll find when reading the threads about this.
Here you go:
-
Just stick with a 2011 framed open gun, you'll be glad you did

oh right, he was going to SV tubes. interesting to hear what you find

Don't be surprised if those new style sti mags nose dive like crazy. They sti ll have not worked out the bugs in them. Send them back to sti and have them send you ones that work, which might be near impossible.

The ejector is the proper length when you can rack the slide with the recoil spring removed and watch the bullet end of your dummy rounds not hit the hood of the barrel. Plus it should have a slight bevel on he face of it, looking at it from the barrel towards the breach face, the 10 o'clock area should be the high/pointy area of the bevel.
After that is set a 170 mag and extractor problems is a sign the extractor tension is not enough. Also making sure extractor is smoothed and shaped correctly.
Good luck

A Dawson crp edge is just an edge with some of his bolt on parts. An HP Edge from Brazos is actually a stock edge that Bob goes over and "makes right" in a simple way of saying it. IMO the HP Edge is the way to go if you were looking for that piece of mind of a stock STI that will run out of the box and you are not a tinkerer.

Hope he is not the FFL holder

no. anytime. if a tube is too wide the stacking of the rounds falls apart, thus salt shaker. You can try to manipulate a spring and follower design all you want to overcome this but you can't.
-
rounds slip past the follower due to a tube that is too wide side to side.
