Check the overtravel. Having too much overtravel will cause this.
Thank you! All set, that fixed it. It must have walked out a little.

I'll second the dominate defense inner belt for rigidity. However, I've found with any ratchet system the inner belt matters much less.
-
On one of my 2011's when I rack the slide with my finger depressing the trigger I can feel a click. It happens just before half cock, maybe with the slide ~1/4" or so back. When compared with other 2011's, both mine and a friend's (of the same make), none of them do that.
The gun so far has run flawlessly, but on my last full tear down I noticed some wear on the sear on the side opposite the hammer engagement.
Any thoughts on the cause? I don't want to willy nilly replace parts or fit things when I don't understand the reason.

I think Black Scorpion is the only one that has a Rival S specific race holster:
But there's also the DAA Flex:

And the Guga Ribas:

I just mounted one on my Athena. So far so good, but not many rounds down range yet.
I have one of their earlier red dots, but felt the glass was way too small. I think they have one of the best dots on the market regarding dot sharpness and brightness. I too have an astigmatism so dots are often smudgy not crisp.
That is one of the reasons I went with mostly the Sig Romeo 3 XL was due to how crisp and round the dot is with my astigmatism. With the Romeo 3 XL eclipsing $700 an optic I am looking for more reasonably priced option. In my eyes optics are consumables, and if I can get 30k-40k out of a $230 optic, that works for me. I can get the Swamp Fox Justice II for around $230 shipped with their veterans discount.
Not sure about the durability, but we are fixing to find out. It lives on my practice gun, so I will abuse that and keep the Sig on my Match gun.
Almost exactly my situation, but I used the Max vs. the XL.

Thank you @clw42.
I was actually looking at the 507 Comp when I came across the Justice 2. I really prefer 6 moa dots on my optics… something that Holosun has yet to offer.
I do as also. With the 507, I find myself using the 8 moa ring with the dot in the middle. It's not the best solution, but it's a decent compromise. At match speed, I don't really notice it. The dot only, with brightness cranked up does appear to be a bit larger as well, but not 6MOA.
I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on the SFJ2. It fits all of the parameters. But, unfortunately like the Holosun, it's made in China which will definitely deter some folks.

No joke, they really missed the mark on the 507 comp reticles. Should have done like a 2 MOA, 6 MOA, 8 MOA, then maybe something with a ring suited to shotgun...Totally agree...though I'm not sure how easy or non cost prohibitive that would be.

I have one on an Atlas Athena. So far I like it. I've only had it a month but it has held zero through about 500 rounds. Dot is bright and decently shaped even with my astigmatism. Glass is good, no distortion at the edges and doesn't seem to add any magnification that I can see. It does have a slight blue tint but no worse than the Romeo 3 Max. Buttons are good, they have a tactile feel when pressing them, I'd say on par with the 507 Comp, definitely better than the SRO. It seems pretty good overall.
I don't like it as much as the 507 Comp, but I do like it more than the SRO, that's just me, I hate the SRO glass. I'm not sure why but the SRO glass just doesn't seem clear at all, and I've tried several. I'm not saying it's better than the SRO, but I personally prefer it over the SRO.
I bought it on a total whim and I'm not disappointed. I'm going to use it for this upcoming season with no reservations.

I love his stuff, just make sure if you call Jason you’ve got 90 minutes to spare!
His poppers are great in that they can be EASILY set for static presentation. Makes it easy to burn ammo, get 2 and go for endless transition drills until the gun gets too hot.
Just got two of them from a friend of mine that did a "group buy" for some of us. Very nice.
I also grabbed a couple of shoot steel static poppers as well.

I prefer something actually popper shape and size but those are better than some.

Great review. Pros and Cons seem more than fair. Seems a little on the pricey side, but it appears to be very well made so could be a buy once, cry once sort of thing. I don't think I'd buy one for personal use, but if I was running matches I'd certainly consider it.

I'm interested as well. Too bad they used one of the not so common in competition mounting options (Doctor/Noblex). Other than that, it looks pretty cool for sure.

Like @George16 I'll cast another vote for the Bondhus brand! Excellent quality!
I also feel the Fix-It-Sticks tools seem to have good bits; but I don't have any long term experience with them....
Thanks Guys.
I tried cheaping out on my Fixits and bought the tools without the bits...I should know better.

What's a good brand for 1/4" Hex and Torx bits? Seems like they're all MiC crap that either break or round over.
-
Ordered 4/4, received today. I got the new light up screen.
-
The only other issue I can see is that the slide racker, and mag release are on the wrong side.

Does anyone know if the BOSS hanger could be modified to fit the Hydra P? That would be an ideal setup.
I think your best mount option is from RangePanda, I don't think the Boss will fit:

Take the grips off and look at it. You should be able to see if there's something there.

Thanks for that. I ordered one and it's on the way. I've also got an AMG on order with the new display. I'll probably keep whichever one I like better. I've got two PP's now, one original and one BT. If I'm wearing my shooting prescriptions, I just can't see the smaller numbers on the screen. I didn't have that problem with my original AMG. Unfortunately that was "lost" at a large east coast match.

For that amount they should come standard with the gel ear cups.
I didn't even notice that they didn't. Good call. And you're 100% right IMO.

Any thoughts on the Kestrel timer KST1000? Seems it's been out a while, but I've only just started seeing them. It's a bit pricey at $299

Looks like there's a newer version of Sordins now too. A little spendy, but I'm interested.

While I admit that it is a minor thing, these production legal race holsters are nicer to draw from.
More importantly for me, the Ghost holster attachment system allows adjustment in planes that are impossible to adjust with the BOSS and similar hangers that everyone uses with kydex gun buckets. And let me tell you it makes a significant difference in the ease of getting an ideal grip.
Totally agree. I had the Ghost Hydra P+ or whatever, and the DAA Max at the same time. I settled on the DAA, because I couldn't get over the terrible Ghost belt attachment. There was too much wiggle for me. Since then though, RangePanda has come out with their own version which looks great. It's not worth switching for me, but I'd likely go that route if I were starting that journey again. The Ghost had zero resistance when drawing the gun. It was like a bucket with a lock on it. The DAA took some work to get it almost as smooth as the Ghost, but the DAA belt attachment is miles ahead of the Ghost.

I've found a new razor blade in a utility knife cuts through the nylon while also scoring the plastic inner part of the belt enough to be able to snap it cleanly, followed by a torch on the end and some epoxy for good measure.
