Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Any feedback on how they feed thru a Dillon RF-100 or RL1050?
  2. I’ve been using an EGW for a few years and would have the same issue where rounds wouldn’t fit flush in it but would pass my Dillon and Wilson gauges. Talked to a rep at EGW the other day, he informed they are made to min SAAMI specs. He also said they have a new model designed for bullets with a large ogive. It was delivered the other day and works great! No where near the amount of no go rounds.
  3. After checking all the usual places (in person and on line) I found them at Gander Mountain.
  4. Follow up info I was able to dig up on this ... This powder was from pulled Israeli submachine gun ammo. 9mm NATO loads, so the powder was designed to be loaded fairly hot. It's a fine ball powder. I found some reload forum threads circa 2008 that discussed it as well as getting some info from a user. That would have been around the correct time frame of when it was sold. Runs 5-10% faster than AA#7 I've loaded up a few test loads at 7.0, 7.3 and 7.5gr. This based on a recommended load of 7.9gr over a 115gr FMJ. I'll post a follow up once I get to the range.
  5. When I read this I just shook my head because it is so true. My RF-100 would eat up CCI primers with zero issues. However, I had issues w' the CCI's in my RL1050 primer feed tray assembly jamming up all the time. After having some issues with the CCI's not firing in my striker match gun that has a slightly reduced spring, I switched to Winchesters. Now the opposite is happening. The WSP's never feed reliably into the RF-100 but I've not had one issue with the 1050 primer feed tray assembly malfunctioning.
  6. Greetings ... Long time lurker first time poster. I've exhausted the internet searches and all of my load manuals trying to find more info on this powder. (SR7970) for 9mm applications. No success. I found about 50 lbs of it that my Dad had. It's milsurp pull down. Excellent condition. I want to use it for practice loads for IDPA around 130 PF. I did find one .30 cal can of ammo he had made with this powder. 124gr lead RN over 7.0gr. I have not chrono'd it yet. That should give me a good starting/reference point. I plan to load 115 plated and FMJ over it for the practice loads. The only info I found on any reload forum was a picture of an old Army TM manual that references it for .45 auto military loads. Is it comparable to any current production powder?
