Can't you get your support hand higher?
-
Vihtavuori N310 should be good. It is fast burning, so even light loads would give enough pressure to burn pretty clean. Start around 3.5 or 3.6 gr, and see if you need more to make PF. Just make sure you don't get double loads.
Even N320 is a little too slow burning for light loads.

Hogue also has wooden grips for GP100, with lots of optional features too. VZ Grips has a couple of models that look interesting.
... I'm still using the old original rubber grips with wooden inserts.

Only if there were a way to integrate Production Optics into it, without hurting current PO shooters.
I see people searching for the limits of modding their Production and PO pistols, sooo....

No personal experience but....
Quite many seem to be happy with Micro Roni in my part of the world.
Some legalities might be involved. The Micro Roni attaches to the chassis without tools, so the pistol remains a pistol by our laws.

There's more than one way to go prone, and which one is best might depend on the situation, like moving to a position, or dropping down from a higher position.

Googling it finds some unfluted S&W 610 revolvers. I didn't dig deep enough to find the history.

That’s a good start. There are plenty of other roles. For instance, putting the match into the pads, syncing them. Designing the stages. Pulling and setting up the props. Getting registration set up (pre-registration saves a lot of entry time on match day). All that and dealing with the host range are the MD’s responsibility, though can be delegated.
Yes.
MD has the overall responsibility, so should have a clue about all the things that are needed to produce a good Match.
Also about who can handle the details of running the Match. So, getting some experience in running the details should gradually increase your understanding of what you need and who you need.

I'm not in USPSA, but in IPSC you sometimes need to pay attention to the difference between Roles and Certifications. There's MD, RM, Stats Officer, Chief Range Officer, RO roles but there's also training and exams that get you a certification for the role/title. The certification might or might not match the role that you have in a particular Match.

Our club has a few guys taking turns as MD. Generally, people with some RO and competition experience. And will to keep it going.
If you haven't yet, volunteer for any job in a Match organization. If you do your job, people will let you be an MD...

I like plated bullets for everything. Don't have an open gun, though.
Powder residue seems to depend on pressures: low pressure = sooty, high pressure = clean.

The crimp does look pretty severe.
What kind of a crimp die are you using?
-
- The slide is not from Glock
- Frame is modified (undercut and stippling)
"18. Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following:
18.1 Modifications to them, other than minor detailing (the removal of burrs and/or adjustments unavoidably required in order to fit replacement OFM parts or components), are prohibited. Other prohibited modifications include those which facilitate faster reloading (e.g. racking or cocking handles, flared, enlarged and/or add-on magwells, etc.), and/or adding stippling. Changing the original color and/or finish of a handgun, and/or adding stripes or other embellishments is permitted." -
Do USPSA Matches tend to mandate weak or strong hand?
On my side of the Earth, even low level IPSC Matches usually force awkward shooting positions by stage design.

I remember some post from shooters in Italy and Germany were cutting down 38 special cases and loading 200gr RN bullets. I have a saved post where Sascha Bach/Cooper_999 from Germany was loading 38 short colt to major PF for IPSC will link below(information is near bottom of first page).
That reminds me...
At the upcoming IPSC European Handgun Championships in Greece, some Revolver shooters have considered not shooting Revolver, because Greek law prohibits reloading and, therefore, they cannot take their empty cases away from the range.
Some have pretty laboriously created brass. From IPSC Revolver Division FB page: "that means leaving roughly 500-600 hand made trimmed and fireformed cases on the ground if I want to shoot the match, since my 929 does not accept 9x19 mm cases reliably with match accuracy (I use .38 Special brass cut to 21 mm and loaded in 9x19 dies)"

No reason to shoot major as the 8 shot in USPSA only scores minor.
...
Unless you want to shoot Major, perhaps with a comp, in Open. Just because.

The KKM front page says:

What powders are you using?
I've only ever used Vihtavuori powders and never had a problem with consistency with a stock Dillon measure. Just discard the first charge after a break in loading.

The way it works at IPSC Matches in my area:
Staff shoot for free, and get a lunch. If the Match is over more than one day, staff get a roof over their heads if needed.
The Pre-Match for staff is first, with squads self-resetting and ROing. Then the paying shooters just shoot.
Previously, we had big squads and an 8 Stage match would take all day. Now, clubs have gone for small squads (6 or so) that do 6 or 8 stages in half a day.

Dang!
That long and skinny and actually complex guide rod on my Scoremaster broke during the weekend's IPSC Match. I'm pretty sure I can replace the entire recoil system with a more standard setup. When the new parts arrive, I'll see if the reverse plug needs work to make it fit.

Having to DQ somebody is not nice. My first time was on Sunday. It was a Lady shooter. AD into the berm.

Am I the only one that used Ed Brown magazines?
I don't think there would be a problem....
My choice of Tripp was very much influenced by availability of quality magazines on my side of the world
-
Tripp
But even with them, I've encountered one or two that sometimes need to be squeezed in a vise to correct it getting too wide to eject cleanly in my pistol.
-
Thanks!
No particular issues with recoil and durability, then
-
When I shot a 4" Rhino with Minor .38 Specials, it felt quite gentle. Any impressions with Major loads?
Any trouble with durability using Major or full power loads?
Soft cover barrel

I've shot some IPSC matches where that was an option: shoot targets that you cannot see, or see fully, behind a soft cover wall, or run to a place where you can see them well.
I remember well one where there were targets low behind a low wall, and one where there was a plate behind a wall. Getting to a position where you had a clear view meant more distance running and more time.
