... do you mean that the bullet wait is max 120g or min? ...
IPSC rules has this for Open:
"Minimum bullet weight: 120 grain for Major"
I seem to recall that it was justified with something about keeping chamber pressures in check.

Nice video that shows progression of movement. One thing that would be interesting to see or document is an actual run at the range and comparing three types of reload other than standing reload: reload into position, reload while leaving the position and reload during the run. Timer is the best way to make the point and quantify the differences.
Which is best, would likely depend on the direction and distance of the movement.
For example, shooting right handed, it would be very awkward for me to reload while leaving or running to the left, or retreating straight back.

They did that at Pan Am and World Shoot-- couple scoretakers went down each side of the stage sending scores with hand signs back to a RO with the tablet at the back cranking in scores. Tapers followed right behind the scoretakers. Scored and reset extremely fast but the shooter needed a delegate or they would never see any questionable hits.
For "questionable hits", usually also missing bullet holes and NS hits, it is a common practice in my area to slow down a bit and call the shooter to see those for him/herself. There usually aren't all that many of those, to make a huge difference.

What I meant was: the way things have been done before isn't necessarily superior just because it is the way things have been done before.
These pistols ain't exactly cheap, so I doubt we'll soon hear many reports about 50,000 rounds being fired through one with no issues. Sadly, I'm not in position to buy one of these now, and 50,000 rounds of .45 ACP.

The real question is what’s wrong with the standard way of making 1911 frames that it needs to be done differently

It's not clear from the photos and description that they are doing full penetration welds. I assumed not, but could be wrong. If they are doing full penetration welds, does a 1/4" or more deep laser weld not generate enough heat to cause distortion?
Electron Beam, not Laser: https://www.ebpglobal.com/electron-beam-welding-vs-laser-welding/
"It is widely recognised that EB welding is a low-distortion process, particularly for large structures. This is because the heat input of EB welding is localised in a narrow region and no filler material is involved."

^ Sure can.
I shoot IPSC where there are lots of short stages. Long ones can easily become bottlenecks. Fortunately, we usually have enough "staff" for scoring and resetting those quickly. Depending on stage layout, we can "hot score" some targets. I also recall stages where one scoring RO would score the left side, another the right side, and the one with the shooter might have time to score the last targets. A little coordination was required so the guy with the tablet didn't get confused.

As far as I understand, electron Beam welding can penetrate quite deep into a seam, so the surfaces can be completely fused.

You found primers in a LGS???

How squeky clean do you really need your guns to be?
I have not noticed any adverse effects from mainly using "oil" on Glock, 1911 and .357 revolver. Rifles too. Unless there's much copper or lead in the gun. 4-stroke motor oil for lawn mowers also works for lubing the pistols. I might use something thinner, marketed as "gun oil" on the rifles.

Not built quite the traditional way. The reviewer seemed to like it: accurate and reliable.

At most IPSC Matches on my side of the world, the chrono is rarely done. It is listed in the invitation etc. but only done if there is reason to suspect that somebody is underpowered. It may be different at major Matches with Championships and significant loot at stake.

Get in touch with Dillon. Also send photos of the issue.

He did it his way. Really played outside the box.

If I can buy loaded ammo for $0.36 a round, is it really worth it fur me to load it?
Depends.

On powders:
How is availability and pricing of Vihtavuori N133 or N135 in USA?

Bring back IPSC Modified (anything goes, as long as it fits in "The Box").

If it fits his hands... I haven't handled that Beretta model but the Berettas that I have handled had pretty bulky grips. Bulky enough that I didn't like them with my not-all-that-large adult hands. The smallest grip that I can remember was on the CZ 75.

who is Vince?
Vince Pinto. He used to have important positions in IPSC, for example Handgun Rules Director.

It was a good place to discuss IPSC rules - until you disagreed with somebody with 40 years of experience, and was deemed to be wrong because of the 40 years of eperience (instead of something written in the rules).

Patching targets that have bags on them is not my idea of a nice day at the range....
-
I've never had trouble with accuracy, loading Vihtavuori powders with a Dillon measure.

Yep. Pick one Division to start with. KISS.
Get familiar with the rules, especially with anything to do with safety.
Talk to people at the range. You'll learn from that.
Be safe. Have fun.

A small "roof" might work if there isn't much wind. It is just more work than targets that work even when wet.
Dry tumble after loading?

I don't think I'm getting brass shavings from reloading. My reloaded rounds are not shiny but they seem to work. The brass will get dirty again, anyway, when I fire them
