Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. First pic the slide has already cycled and is at the end of loading next round. Second pic has the bullet in the barrel while slide is cycling. Would it be further out, the slide would be on the way back. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  2. Just ordered one to test. Seems like a sound concept. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  3. Funny thing is I do have tight groups. Kept thinking I was breaking my wrist because they're all center mass, at 15 yards, 4 inches below Bullseye. Grouping is not an issue. May be because I use gkasses?
  4. By the way, the prescription safety glasses at Walmart were $40. Readers at $14 and I have crisp edges, money well invested. On the peeps, I do use for IDPA and so long as I am aware of them can acquire pretty fast. It takes practice, like everything we do in the sport.
  5. So, at 56 and being blessed with ageing eyes and astigmatism I go a couple of routes. One is Peep hole sights. On a pistol you ask? Nope, on my shooting glasses. There is a product out there you have to place on your glasses, dominant eye, and acts just like a peep hole sight, which makes everything clear . Option two is I had my Optometrist provide me with lenses at the exact focal length of my Glock 34 I shoot with Iron sights. For me it is exactly 26 inches. You take your shooting stance, with an unloaded, and twice verified gun or your preference, extend the gun to your shooting position and move to a wall. Best way, have someone measure form your nose bridge to the wall or front post and now you have your focal length. Readers had worked at 1.5 and the Optometrist said it would help but it did not account for my astigmatism. I tried the two eye bit but was too blessed with headaches and vertigo.
  6. Very interesting! I will have to redo mine as I had done the pistol rest and not the wrists and am shooting, invariably low and center. Compensate and aim sights higher and then dead center. Shooting a Glock 19 and Calls Shots post, may order a smaller front to see if that has an impact.
  7. Good morning to all, I tend to use both style grips depending on what I am shooting. For example, for my G19, I find using the index on the guard works well for me. It is mnore of a preference issue and not a brand issue as I shoot my G34 without the finger on the guard. If I would have to guess, it is the smaller "real Estate" grip on the 19 that makes me prefer this. Come to think about it, it is the only gun that I shoot with the index finger on the guard and can achieve consistent accurate results.
