  1. 9 major, dry tumbling, using lee under die There is a gap in the front of the 1st and 2nd round. Also the rim of the first round is in the extraction groove of the second. I have the feed lips at .350 in the rear and .360" in the front. I have tried to tighten the double to single stack transition. Is there any info on how to correct this? I have read others mention this problem, but no mention of the fix. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows all of the mags dimensions?
  2. Thanks guys was just wondering, maybe something to tinker around with and give me a excuse to cut up the slide and Try a Romeo 3. I'm shooting 124 PD hp @ 1.150" with 6.0 gr of hs6 can go to 6.6 published load and it shoots very soft now. It got me wondering if it would be possible to make major since my DVC open likes 8.0 grains. Thought it might be worth working up a load ladder. I only have a kkm 4 port comp on it now would more ports be necessary?
  3. Is it possible or has anyone made major in a glock 19? With a kkm barrel and comp? Or is the barrel too short?
  4. Thanks for the help guys. I will try bending the first couple of coils. If that don't work I'll call Sti.
  5. At my wits end here. I installed the tti guts and I now have exactly the same thing. The first round in the mag is tilted up as it should be and you can clearly see the second round is pointed down. Although sometimes it won't even cycle the first round when the mag is put into the gun from slide stop. I can cycle a few then I get a massive nose dive, I clear the malfunction, cycle a few more by hand and the it locks up again. I even went as far as making a new spacer plate out of aluminum to make up for the added length of the base plate. I wish I just would have bought another mbx, or Sti big stick with a dawson pad.
  6. Talked to Bevin (He was very professional) and it was the wrong follower, but the label said it could be used with 9/38/40/45 without a spacer. I filed it down to use with the spacer as he suggested and it did not fix the problem. Oh well. Gonna try a TTI spring and follower. Probably should have sent it back to speedshooters but by the time I would have paid for shipping and the time to send it back it didn't seem practical.
  7. Using grams 11 coil spring that came with their follower. This stuff is all new out of the box minus the tube. I don't know why this spring and follower won't work. I even tried it with the stock Sti pad and also Dawson plus one pad. Looks like it will be going back and I will get the tti spring and follower. I will call grams tomorrow and see what they say first.
  8. Hey guys I just got a tti 4g basepad and grams follower and spring for my Sti 140 mm tube. When I load the mag any more than 10 rounds the rounds start to nose dive in the mag and will not cycle in the gun at all. This tube ran fine with the Sti basepad, spring, and spacer. Has anyone else seen this problem? My rounds are 1.170" is this too short to not run a spacer in the mag? Thanks
  9. No worries thanks for your help. I rephrased that part, I dont need to hit a minor pf floor just was going to use this load for practice/ plinking.
  10. This data is for titegroup. OP has a bunch of titewad which is a quite a bit hotter than titegroup. I personally haven't used titewad but just wanted to make sure the OP didn't read this thinking it was titewad load data. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yea i caught the different powders bouboy 02. Thanks for looking out!
  11. Hey guys anybody have experience using titewad powder for 9mm plinking loads. I have a boat load of this powder from when I was shooting sporting clays, and would like to work up some plinking loads for my glock 19. Hodgdon has load data for this powder using a berry's 124 gr hollow base bullet. I am wanting to use precision delta hollow points loaded at the same OAL. I guess my question is how much of pressure increase if any would I see using a flat based bullet as opposed to the berry's hollow base. BULLET WEIGHT124 GR. 12. Upon further investigation, you are correct. The deformity of the brass is happening during the reloading process. I took used brass shot out of my dvc open, sized them and they fell in the chamber easily. When I reloaded that same small batch of brass there were still some rejects. I am wondering if the small amount of play in the lee classic turret die tool head is causing this. I will be calling Lee tomorrow to try and get some insight.
  13. So how much does it typically cost for one of their open guns? The one in the OP's post is awesome!
  14. Well i was still experiencing alot of rounds that did not pass the chamber check, so I decided to get the hornady new dimension seating die. I ran about 20 rounds tonight and I am still getting some rejects. It looks like the 9mm glocks can cause a bulge too. I have my lee u die set to the shell plate plus a quarter turn deeper and it still doesnt get rid of this deformity at the base of the brass. I am using a fcd also and not doing any crimping in the seating station. Has anyone else experienced this? I am considering getting a lee bulge buster for the failing rounds in 9mm makarov. Has anyone else done this?

    New to Clays

For shooting stages that have a bird close and one far, it sure is nice having 2 chokes and being able to select which barrel fires first. I tried shooting with a semi before and hated it for my range. But I'm just a noob too!
  16. OP if you are thinking of getting one and have a adj comb , do it. After putting one on my gun I use for sporting clays, I don't want to shoot a gun without one. It feels better and I shoot better.
  17. I have to agree silver is a better idea. My black ones are getting scratched up from a few dry fire sessions.
  18. If the jb weld doesn't hold up I will get Lee to make a custom insert
  19. I took the insert out of the die, drilled a bigger hole in the center, and put some grease on a bullet then jb welded the bullet into the insert. Let it dry then filed away the excess. Now the insert is contacting the ogive during seating and not the tip of the bullet. Seems to be working better.

    Limcat?

What do you work for him? I mean there is no excuse for this issue , it did not just slip by. I don't think a robot built and assembled the gun, and somebody test fired it. How could that not get noticed. If it wasn't for this forum he would have never got a email on a Saturday night !
  21. Lol, it's not under that much pressure. Just wipe it down to remove any oil so you can get a good hold of it. Put it on a table and push down on the reverse plug (the cylinder in the front) the latch will automatically retract and you can slowly release the pressure. It's super simple. Before you take the stock spring out with the gun fully assembled, pull the slide back all of the way and draw a line with a sharpie somewhere on the frame and slide. When you put the new spring in make sure that the mark on the frame and slide align. If they don't and the slide is not coming all the way back then clip coils off of the spring until they do 1/4 coil at a time. If you don't do this the slide will short stroke from coil bind and this will damage your gun.
  22. Hello I have relaced the spring in my dvc open. I got my spring kit on ebay for around 25$. Research Nictaylor00 on youtube, "how to tune for faster double taps" its a video on how to choose the right spring. The spring pack has several springs from 7-11 pounds I believe. Just make sure the open end of the spring is positioned to the front of the gun. Also check for coil bind, I had to clip a few coils off othe the 10# spring.
