  1. So I'm new to the open world trying to get my feet wet. What's the general consensus on mixed brass? Are you all sorting head stamps and adjusting to keep oal dead nuts perfect? My current minor loads vary ~.005-.008" oal. Maybe I'm overthinking that aspect. Also is it considered safe to use the cheap $25 per 1k brass after its carefully inspected or strictly once fired brass only? Thanks in advance!
  2. This season was my second shooting xtremes 165's in my Wilson barreled g34. They deff almost feel like cheating, and watching video you can see the front sight barely moves vertically at all. For me anyway... Mixed brass Xtreme 165 played 2.7gr tg Fed sp match 1.140oal 130pf I've also used 3.0gr of N320 when tg was very scarce for a bit. Great results there also but I wound up going back to tg for the cost savings. I have a pound of N310 sitting around and the idea of that load is tempting, but risky IMO.
  3. Also an FFL here, we have a couple of customers who get at least one multiple a month and have been doing it for almost a year now. No issues from BATFE. Only time we had the ATF call to check on a multiple was someone moved in from across the country and shipped their entire gun collection to us. 31 handguns on a multiple form earned a phone call pretty quick. Haha
  4. Georgia is an awesome state for gun games in general. There's a local uspsa match 20 minutes from my house on Tuesdays. I went last week, shot production and wound up joining uspsa. Going to try to shoot production semi regularly at the local matches while putting together an open rig. Open looks like it's super fun.
  5. Nothing wrong with it necessarily, it's a game and it has to be played by a certain set of rules. Nothing really to complain about other than inconsistency in SO's and equipment check at majors (even at the world shoot this year). I hear ya on the classifieds. If a nice used 9maj trubor pops up I just might have to have it!
  6. Welcome aboard. You will definitely enjoy USPSA - why wait 'til next season. Start USPSA right Now.... Lots more fun than IDPA. What gun are you using? Reloading, yet? I shot my first local uspsa match last week actually, just kinda getting the feel for it shooting production. Right now I'm running Glocks, G34's for ssp / production and one for ESP, G19 for CCP, and a G43 for the random bug matches. I am reloading, actually upgrading the press soon from my current Lee turret (sucks trying to load 1k a month on a turret) to a Dillon 650. Part of the reason I'm here is to research 9maj load data. This is one of the very few forums where people will actually post their data. Lol
  7. New to the forum, from the metro Atlanta area. I've been shooting IDPA (I know, I know ) regularly for almost two years now. Countless local matches and a few majors when I can escape work. Planning on shooting more USPSA next season, so here I am! Looking forward to learning here!
