  1. Sorry for the delay - The whole manual was too large to post. Here is the 38 SC page. 38 SC VihtavuoriInternationalReloguide2008.pdf
  2. Thanks again. I found the older version of the VV reloading manual and it has the 38 SC load data. I will be moving to 3n38. Between the info here and the older VV manual, I should be fine.
  3. Thanks to everyone. I could not find VV reloading data for 3n38 in 38 Super in their manual? Is it that much better than AA#7?
  4. Thanks all. I am going with AA#7 rather than the N105.
  5. All, I wish to develop a major PF 38 super load for my commander size handgun with a fully supported barrel. I wish to use Blue Bullets 125 gr RN bullet. The VV reloading table shows 125 gr FMJ and JHP loads for N105. The min load shows at about 1400 fps. Is it safe to use the polymer coated bullet at min load and work up if necessary? I usually user lead bullet data when I load the polymer coated bullets. Thanks
  6. I looking to buy some factory 38 super and use the brass to start reloading 38 super. I was hoping to find some rimless brass from the factory. Does anyone know if the Armscor 38 super ammo has rimless brass? My alternative is to purchase some Starline Super Comp brass.
  7. Defendear Digital 1 - I have been using them for about 2 years. A wonderful product. https://www.westone.com/store/defendear/index.php/defendear-digital/defendear-digital-1
  8. I have used the EGW ignition kits on a number of my 1911. They are AAAA++++. The last was the upgrading a factory specification 1911. My pistol-smith said it dropped in. It gives one great trigger.
  9. This is a simple question to those who reload any of those calibers. I am conforming to 9mm based shooting. For the 3 calibers (9mm, 38 Super, and 357 Sig), I am looking to use a single bullet type. I reload the blue bullet and really like my results. The question is: will the 125 gr RN or TC work for all three reloads? Is the olgive correct for the 357 Sig? Thanks
  10. All, I need some clarification on the grip tape rules. I am a Life member of the USPSA. My number is in the three hundreds. I have not been competing for 20+ years and would like to resume. I am setting up my HK VP 40 for Limited division, shooting as a Super Senior. I am adding grip tape and have read the rule book(s). My question is simple, but I wish to confirm I am correct before expending time and energy. The Appendix E4 applies only to Production Division - Correct? In the Limited Division I can add grip tape to the frame as well as the magazine well - Correct? Thanks for the help.
  11. Ok - I finally got all the items needed to set up the Limit VP 40. I used Taylor +5 and Taylor's new VP 9/40 magazine well. No problem getting it together. The magazines take 18 rounds and the magazine well is a dream - easy to install. I took the VP 40 to the range today and everything functioned like a charm. No hick-ups at all for the 400 rounds of practice. It is definitely, a keeper and a great way for me to start Limit competition. Thanks for everyone input and advise.
  12. I agree - A simple cost effected limited handgun
  13. I got a reply over at the HK forum. Just changed the sights to suit ones eyes, magazine extensions , +5 Taylors are suggested, and shoot.
  14. Anyone use the VP40 for Limited competition? What magazine extension do you use and anything that special that needs to done to the gun? Thanks
  15. Yes I do - I own the Dillon 650 ( about 12 years old in fact). Let me say I am a low volume shooter compared to others on this forum. My main round is 45 Colt. My process is this: First pass with fired brass, universal de-capper, neck size with a normal 45 Colt resizing die, check the balance of the case by running it through a Lee factory crimp die without the crimping insert, bell using a RCBS M die. Then pin clean the cases Second Pass : prime the cases Third Pass: Powder charge, bullet seating, final crimp. Again I am a low volume shooter and want a very precise 45 Colt round which is medium to mild. This works for me and allows me to have brass in various stages without dedicating long hours at the reloading press.
  16. Check the HK forum - HKpro.com - lots of information.

    P2000 help.

Go over to the HKPro Forums and do a search for a lot of info. I faced the same dilemma. Check what color hammer spring you have. If it is red - it is 15lbs, blue or no color should be 12 lbs. Wolff makes a 10lb replacement. The next thing that needs to be changed is the the firing pin block spring to the light version. All the parts are available at HKParts.net. I went with the 10lb hammer spring and the light FPB spring and it makes a significant difference in the DA pull and lightened the sa by about 1/2 lbs. I hope that helps? Also - think able changing out the magazine release to the extended magazine release, also at HKParts.net, it helps with magazine changes since you don't have to re-position your grip.
