  1. Hello Everyone,

I am going to be getting started with my own reloading. Primarily it will be for my stock 2. My question is, will I have complications shooting flat nosed ammo? Specifically 147 gr flat nosed ammo. I have heard that with the angle of the feed ramps that these guns prefer round nose ammo.

Any help would be great. Anyone have this experience?

  2. Have you polished the gun guts yet? Polish the firing pin and the hole it goes into.

Oh yeah, I have polished everything internally with the exception of the firing pin and fpb cavities.

I'd polish the FP hole and the firing pin block hole.

One test is to launch a new pencil out the barrel (eraser gets hit by FP). Then remove the firing pin block and repeat, the heights should be the same or very close. If not, the block may be dragging.

What is the best way to polish inside the FP hole?

  3. OK so I have a stock 2 in 9mm that I have installed the ben stoeger upgrade kit on and I am still having light strike issues occasionally. My understanding is that the extra power firing pin spring has more resistance than the stock firing pin spring. So I currently have the stock firing pin spring installed with the extended firing pin and wolffs 13lb hammer spring.

Where else could I gain some help? Or am I doing something wrong?

Would a different hammer help me in any way?

    thanks guys

  4. I am getting started in 3 gun after doing a few USPSA pistol competitions. Ive built a rifle I am very happy with and my pistol is great. I am now looking at purchasing a shotgun, my pump gun is really slowing me down. I am impressed with the specs of the JM but a few people I have talked to have had mixed results with them out of the box. Is the JM still a great option or is the M3K the route to go? I am not in the market for Beneli or Versa max, they are more money than I would like to spend. Thanks for the help.

  5. Ok so I am trying to help a friend out who has a Sig p226 Enhanced Elite. To our understanding to remain production legal you need your gun weight to come in no more that 2 oz over the factory posted weight. So how does this work if there are other models of the p226 that have the exact same external dimensions but are a higher weight. Would he have the leeway to his gun come in at a weight like some of the other p226 models being that his gun is essentially the same?

    thanks for the help

  6. Hello everyone, a little about myself. I have been largely involved in hunting and shooting my entire life. At the end of 2014 I started shooting in USPSA and a few Multi-gun matches. Turns out I am not to bad at it. So after starting with a G17 I bumped to a G34 and now I trapped the Unicorn (Stock 2 9mm). I heard this forum was the place to go for additional information on tuning this weapon up. Looking forward to learning. Thanks for help in advance.
