  1. You don't mention how much 3-Gun you'll be shooting or a budget. The Stoeger M3K with MOA's upfit is excellent and under $1000.00

True it is not a Benelli, but you have a lot of $$$ for practice ammo and match fees between them.

This SG would be used almost exclusively for 3G (about 1 match a month). My budget is about $1500 and I don't mind spending more to "buy once, cry once".

Dude, with that budget, a TTI or Accurate Iron M2 has your name all over it.

Wouldn't that be in the $2400 range? That would be pushing it for my budget. I'm really liking the M2 and the 1301 so I think it's between these two now.

  3. I think I've narrowed my choices to the Remington Versamax Competition Tactical and the Benelli M2 Field. I think I'm leaning towards the Versamax but most of what I've read is a year old now. Is the Versamax still a good choice over the Benelli? Is it worth getting the Comp model or just the Tactical?

  4. I'm new to reloading but I chose to wet tumble. It's the dust that I want to avoid. I think it's going to be cheaper in the long run because I shouldn't have to replace the media and I like how the brass looks new. I've processed all the brass I've been collecting (about 3k cases) and it is very easy with the right equipment.

I use the Frankford Armory wet tumbler and I bought a cheap Lee press for $28 and a universal depriming die to remove the primers, then tumble for 2 hours. I pour the brass into an RCBS media separator with the bucket full of water so the brass and media are submerged. This releases the surface tension allowing the stainless media to just fall out with just a few turns of the tumbler. The brass gets dumped on a towel for a quick pat down and left to try while I pick up the media with a Frankford Armory media magnet for the next batch. Super easy.

  5. I believe the Glock 34 has a 5.5 lb trigger (6.5 on other Glocks) so it's decent for competition shooting out of the box. The grip angle is a little steeper in relation to most other pistols but I believe this puts your wrists in a natural "locked" position which also helps control muzzle flip. It's really personal preference in the end so the best thing to do is try to shoot (rent if possible) both and see what works better for you. Just handling vs actual shooting can be very different.

  6. Just wanted to say hello as a new reloader. Just got my XL650 from Brian and have loaded my first few batches of ammo. I've been shooting IDPA and this has prompted me to make shooting more affordable/or shoot more, haha. The machine is amazing and this forum has been a great source of information.
