  1. I dry fire everyday for an hour and it seems to help me with my fundamentals. I’m still slow but taking my time. And thinking of getting either Steve Anderson book or Ben stoeger for my dey fire practice. @djp55 I’ll try to get some videos on my next match as suggested, i figure that would help me alot in determining what i need for training.
  2. I’m fairly new shooting competitively and what came into mind is traning or preparation after the first match. I’m just curious what people did after their first match. After your first match what training did you do to improve in preparation a second match?
  3. Left my mag for a few days, it did worked. Will try to load them again today and leave them for a few more days.
  4. Ben’s book has been helping me. And planning to buy steve anderson’s refinement and repetition book.
  5. I do 500 rounds in a frankford arsenal walnut media with nu finish for 4 hours. I run the dry media first for 10 mins with nu finish before starting tumbling with the brass on it. Very shiny
  6. Just loaded all my mags full, i’ll leave it for a week hope it will break in the springs. Do you think buying a springer precision basepad will help? Would changing aftermarket basepad would have enough space for smooth reload?
  7. Just started competiting and i’m using a glock 34 gen 4. Im having problem seating my full ten round magazine without slapping it really hard. Planning to buy a springer precision or a taran tactical base pad, i don’t know if that will solve the problem? High cap is not an option in my state.
  8. Very nice rig. Maybe a new guide rod with 13lbs ismi springs?
  9. Walnut media tumble with nu finish for 10 mins and tumble brass for 3-4 hrs around 500 9mm brass in a frankford tumbler
  10. Majority is using titegroup. Thinking of trying vvn320.
  11. Since i started reloading last year my go to powder for 9mm and 40 is titegroup. I never tried any other powder. Now im thinking of trying new powder to load and develop. What powder usually do you guys use?
  12. Thank you all for sharing. I called a few builder and now im kinda wanting Limcat or Cheely custom to do the work. Cheely custom i think is not accpeting build for now. Any advice or experience of the two builder im interested in?
  13. Thank you for the reply. I will call Matt Cheely if he can make me a limited gun. But im still considering other builders depending what this thread recommend. I live in the Bay Area and just. started shooting competitively so not much experience.
  14. I live in California and i have a strip STI 2011 frame. I want to build a custom gun for USPSA limited, any recommendation who am i gonna send my frame and can build me a gun from scratch. As you all know California gun laws is a mess which wont allow me to buy a off roster gun, so basically sending my frame to a custom gun builder will be the only option. I'm only a newbie in competition world so help would really be appreciated.
  15. I bend the rod little by little and it work flawlessly for the last thousand rounds Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have been shooting paper for years and im tired of it so i will be getting into action pistol. Im setting up my rig for my first match i wanna join USPSA Limited division. I have a 2011 sti eagle 5" with DAA belt and DAA race master magazine pouch. what do you guys recommend for a hoslter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So Egw u die would be replacement of my dillon decapping and resizing die? Would the egw eliminate bulging? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I might just try the Lee bulge buster. Some people recommend a Redding Grx, did you ever tried grx? But Lee bulge is a far more cheaper than the grx, i might go on that route. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have a dillon 550 with dillon dies. And i usually use a range pick up brass, but now i bought a once fired brass 40 s&w. Do you think it will be better for me to run all those brass in a Lee bulge buster since they are range pick up? I dont have the kit yet but i might buy it if it will be necessary. Is Lee undersize carbide sizer and bulge buster has same function? Correct me if im wrong im new to reloading and thought myself to reload just by reading. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for the link exactly what im looking for. Ill try blue bullets too. I just ordered a 165gr and 180gr xtreme rnfp bullets i will try that first. What dies are you using? Other forums recommended running it with grx die due to bulging or a egw u die. What would you recommend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Just acquired a STI Eagle 5.0 40 sw and im a novice reloader. I only load 9mm and will be trying the .40 s&w soon. My current powder i have in stock is Titegroup, HS6, and wsf. Planning to load a 165 or 180 gr xtreme bullet fmj. If you have a specific load/recipe that you could share i would appreciate it. I heard that STI is reliable with longer OAL?
