Problem solved. The over travel screw moved. It has blue loctite but moved just enough to have an intermittent issue. Re-loctite, adjustment and done.

Was thinking I can drill the top of my brass backstrap and insert tig tungstens, cap with a bit of epoxy then slide back in. Im not sure its worth it though.tungsten is more than 2x denser but im not sure how much I would get in. If I got 1/2 of a cubic inch in I would pick up 2.5 oz
It would be similar to adding the tungsten grip weight vs the steel in the TXG. My wife and I HATED it. I personally would not mess with it.

Sounds like he may have re-assembled it before installing the take down lever, assembled without the take down lever in the fully down/7:00 position, or try lifting the slide catch lever to reset.........

Neither of those. He was shooting a match and half way thru a stage it started happening. On the next stage it would only fire if he racked it.

I have tried several solutions. Brass juice with a little Milliard Citric Acid has been the best so far for me. I use it in a cement mixer.

Is this a new installation or a previous installation that has worked ok in the past?
Has been in since day 1. Prob a year or so.

He has a GG trigger kit. He is going to clean it, disassemble/inspect the striker, check the ejector and check the set screw on the trigger. He has to take it to the range to test, so will have to wait to see what happens. Thanks all.
-
Thanks all. I will let him know all of this. It is tough not being able to see it in person.
-
Factory 12#. The slide goes back during recoil and he barely has to rack it to reset. Much shorter than the recoil distance of the slide.
I will have him check though.
-
I have a buddy with a legion and had a trigger issue tonight.
The trigger only resets if you rack it. If you fire it, dead trigger. Rack it, it works.
Any ideas? He is not local to me so I can't take it apart.
Thanks

the more I think about this, and read what other people think, the more I think it would actually make sense to have an equipment ruleset for CO that was the same as production, including a 15 round limit, a weight limit in the 45-50-oz range, non-race holsters, no magwells, no SAO triggers, etc....
it would also make sense to have an equipment ruleset for limited optics that mostly matches limited (with the likely exception of major scoring, because that will make staccato owners and little girls cry many soft wet tears). 140 rd mags, race holsters, magwells, slide rackers, possibly frame mount dots allowed (i think this would broaden the appeal without making it a requirement).
I think there would be much weeping and wailing trying to put the genie back in the bottle regarding CO weight limit and 140 rd mags......... unless there was a new division like lim optics where those things were legal.
Just thinking out loud here, but I think both optics divisions would be interesting in different ways, and of course those of us with actual *practical* guns could choose either division based on the rest of our gear preferences.
Perfect. Wrap it up and let's be done. Start 2/1/23.

It does take a little more effort than one would this. I was under the impression it was a “tap” that fixes it. I was sadly mistaken lol.
Yes, I pounded the sh1+ out of some of them.

Did this today. Some took a little more beating than others but I've gotten them all to fit now. Thanks for the help

How do you flatten them?
Hammer at the end of the tube. The bend of the wing(part that slides into the base pad) has a very rounded bend. I use a brass hammer to hammer it and create more a sharp 90* bend. This will shorten the tube. I have done 25+ this way to fit the gauge.
-
I have old and new TTI base pads on all my mags. None fit the gauge without flattening the wings on the tubes. They all fit. No grinding on the feed lips or pads.
-
Flatten the wings where the base pad slide on. Tap that with a brass hammer they will then fit the gauge.
17 and 21 rnd. I've done about 25 this way.

Everyone wants a piece of the CO action but they all want the rules bent their particular way
F that
Spot on.

Those wanting SA to be allowed in CO, are you also ok with it in Production?

The ones I got were like $ 30
My custom plugs were $60, but lately I've seen them closer to $100.
The decibulzz did not work for me.

Was not a fan. Custom plugs are much better for ~$100.

Not sure, maybe only those that signed up for notifications got it?
Perhaps. My wife didn't get it either.

If they are current USPSA members, tell them to log on to the website (not the mobile app). The surveys are available there, as well a all the source material.
I emailed them the link.
But curious why they didn't get it. All current members. 1 life membership.

Several buddies have not received the survey. Wonder how many it actually went out to.

Never seen a need for it.

Just make sure the back is touching the top and bottom high spots. No light between the mag and gauge. That's it.
