18 stops not stages
Classifier stages can be doubled up in bays
Allowing for more medium and long courses
Universal has the ability with bay sizes to allow for doubling of classifier/short courses. Example is that in the last large bay during World Shoot held 6 classifer/short course in what would be 3 stops.
We are looking at that being 2 stops with 4 new classifier stages in that bay.
We are exactly 1 year out and many things are being worked right now to plan these events.
There is a team of experienced stage designers and match directors are going to be getting assignments, myself and Troy are meeting this weekend to work on staff packages, hotel contracts and arrangements are being made.
We are working on calendar for slot release, slot registration and open registration. Sponsor solicitation has already started and as well planning for awards ceremony with assistance from Polk County Sports Marketing/tourism board.
This is going to be great. I am looking forward to this next year.

Down load 1 round
Load10 rounds for speed stages/ classifiers
This, except I always load a full mag for every stage. I like to keep everything the same from stage to stage. If your 170 holds 29 then load them up with 28 for the reload. I use 29 in the mag I start the stage with then all others on my belt will be one short of capacity. The only time that one extra round will matter is if you a running some type of mega 55+ round stage at a match. USPSA matches will cap at 32 rounds which would be a 170 (29) and a 140 (23).

I'm running 9.8 gn of vv3n38 under a 124 gn pd jhp at 1.25 oal. I get a 171 power factor out of my chaos.
-
Based on the vv tables 124 gr fmj with 6.9 gn of 350 at 1.26oal will get you 1275fps. So with popple holes and shorter oal. I'd start at 7.6 gn and work up.

I wonder how easy it will be to get into all 3.....
I wonder if they will do a price break for all 3?

Jake thanks for the detailed response. I am looking forward to doing all 3.

Do you know if shipping is included in the $135.50 price?
According to the rate sheet I got it's free shipping.
-
Dealer Pricing is $135.50/per 1000/6500 per drum. Minimum 3 drums. Now you can do a different caliber in each drum, but minimum is 3 drums. 2642.45 plus shipping for 19,500 38sc brass.

I place brass into a plastic tub and hit it with a spray on One Shot case lube. Then mix up the brass and pour it into my case feeder. Everything runs smooth after that and I've had no issues with it.

This is great as it's close to home (within 2 hours). So I wonder if this will be 3 days of shooting, or if it will be two with a breakdown/rebuild day in between each match.

I went from plastic to an EVO grip on my build. I love it. The gun is heavier but it just feels so nice to shoot. I honestly don't think I will go back to a plastic grip.

Just wanted to know if you found your load for the Atlas. As your load that you listed is the same as I use for my Ck and been thinking of ordering a Choas.
I did. I am running 9.9gn of 3n38 under a 124 jhp precision delta at 1.245 oal. Runs flat.

I have used Tabac Shaving Soap. Both in the tub and a shave stick. It's my goto soap.

In Florida Private sales between two parties is legal without an FFL. If the gun is owned by his FFL, he will have to send it to another FFL for the transfer. If you are concerned about the deal I'd do one of two things:
1. Have him send the gun to an FFL of your choice and do the transfer as if you bought it from out of state
2. Walk away from the deal.
I have sold and purchased guns in Florida from private sales and always used a receipt of transfer. You can find a form online to use. Here is a copy of the form I've used in the past.

It's always a good idea to CYA.

This is correct as the ownership of the gun has never changed.

I'm on the fence between trying hs6 or 3n37 which I can obtain locally and forgo the hasmat fee at a reasonable price. I have about 1k 124g PDs, and 3k 115's. I've never tried hs6 or 3n37 but hear either will work. I think I need to find the load and as mentioned work up the power factor a bit and maybe play with some springs.
HS-6 load is what was recommended to me specifically for the DVC open. I have not changed anything with the gun. Springs and all are still stock.
-
I ran 8.6gn of hs-6 under a 124 jhp from precision delta at 1.235oal in my DVC open which gave me a 174pf and a very flat gun. It's all about the right amount of gas to get the comp to work. Now the same load in my atlas open gun only pushes about 157pf so I've been making a load for that.

I have heard the same rumblings of a single nationals. I like either single division nationals, or a common shared ( like optics). I think it allows you to design stages that can really test the abilities of the shooter and the division. Plus I'd like to shoot more than one division.

You may get more wind and stuff than me. You're in tornado alley right now.
Yup and this is where I miss having a basement. My neighborhood is pretty good. Not a lot of space between the houses so it kind of acts like a buffer. Plus we are in one of the highest points in Pinellas county (49 ft above sea level).

Grumpy, by the time it reaches you it should be a weak cat 1

I have run both Race master and the Alpha X. AS they both are great holsters, I prefer the Alpha X over the race master.

Problem is I don't know what I don't know yet.
I didn't either at first, but as time went on you gain experience in this sport. I've been doing this for a couple of years and feel like I'm not an expert, but I can give my opinion and things that I have tried to help others in a similar situation make choices.
