I only wish that they had machined the grip rather than inserting the plastic textured grip panels. Just a strange solution and the front strap does wiggle.

I used a small strip of double sided tape at the base of the front panel to eliminate the wiggle.

Thanks guys.   I ordered a new slide.  Now just need to learn the complete disassembly for Glocks.  Spent 30+ years shooting 1911 and then to 2011.

  3. I started shooting USPSA back in ‘94 with a 1911 out of my duty rig.
Later I transitioned to my EDC set up, and then started gaming.

Never stopped having fun, and watched my overall shooting skills progress as I shot/competed more.

The ones that I make would fit that.  Give you more drop and I have 1" spacers if you are running in Limited and can get that far off your belt.

Funny that I see this now, as yesterday I did a g00gle search and came up with an older thread recommending @aandabooks hangers.

I just ordered one off eBay (2” wide model) to use with a 5198 1911 holster.

The G22.5 isn't optimal for rolling with a plastic gun in Limited. The shorter barrel and polygonal rifling makes getting to powerfactor a bit of a balancing act.

    Mods I added:

    - Dawson sights

    - Glockstore pure tungsten guiderod w/17# spring

    - Tungsten weights and putty (for soapbox derby cars) in the grip

That's it. It shoots pretty well. It returns well and the extra weight helps settle out the iron sights a bit better. I don't get any muzzle dip (dolphining).

Stock Gen5 triggers are pretty good so no need to mess with that. I ran a Dawson Ice magwell for a bit but it was actually slowing down mt reloads because it was harder to get my support hand back on the grip well. So I ditched it.

What tungsten weights and putty did you use?

How much weight were you able to add with just this?

I think you’re missing what is being suggested. Nobody is saying a paid membership is required to participate. Everyone would always be welcome to participate. But the “members” willing to pay an annual fee, would maybe get some sort of badge or identifier to distinguish them as a “contributor”.

Bought new. Unfortunately it’s the only Glock I own at the moment. However I had two g34 gen5’s last year, both blue label that had dot connectors. This one I purchased NON blue label as they’re unavailable at the moment. It has a minus connector.

Yup, I bought a new red label G34 Gen5 a couple months back and it came with a (-) as well.

  8. I had to bend the stock (-) connector inward on my G5 due to rubbing on frame.
I also had to do some slight trimming in the area circled in the pic due to the bar not going far enough rearward to release the striker.

Understood. If being competitive is more important to you I would look at some other Pistol with a full size frame. If being more proficient with your carry gun is what is important and you just want to compete to have fun then I would say use the 48 MOS and knock yourself out

I fully understand, but even I dream of greatness from time to time.  😉
