  1. Appreciate the suggestion! Looked and they’re only made for rimless ammo.
  2. Unfortunately I do not reload at the moment. The brass is stamped (XTREME) on the bottom. TK advised to try their Hornady made moons as they are the biggest they have. We will see! Probably won’t buy more after this 500 is shot up.
  3. I ended up filing the strain screw down by .75 millimeters. This lightened the trigger quite a bit but still lit off everything I’ve fired so far. Figured if I have issues, a strain screw is cheap enough to replace. I’ve found that lightening the mainspring has allowed the trigger to reset just fine now with the lighter “comp” return spring. Two things: 1. I saw somewhere (can’t remember where) where someone had a diagram of a set screw installed in the bottom of the frame to push against the strain screw to adjust tension…seems like a cool idea and would allow easy adjustment of the strain screw with a “lock.” 2. I purchased 500 rounds of Freedom Munitions 38 special…. Unfortunately the diameter of the brass seems to be too much for my TK moonclips (OEM) for the 627… forcing them with the TK tool warped them…. Wondering what size I need? Or are the split moonclips made for brass like this? Moving forward I think I’ll just stick with federal…. I usually order off ammoseek and just get the cheapest I can (9mm) moving to revolver and seeing how moonclips can be picky, might change how I do things…
  4. Just not used to such a heavy DA pull! Guess I just need to spend more time on the range with it.
  5. I haven’t removed the safety yet, but I saw TK makes a plug which I want to get. In regards to the springs, I’m still trying to figure out what the best approach here is… Since I’m new to revolvers been trying to do a lot of reading. I installed the APEX evolution hammer and put the “competition” trigger return spring in. I’ve found that sometimes the trigger fails to return completely forward (very gritty return). Been playing with the strain screw by backing it out a half turn at a time to see where reliable ignition fails… (not keeping the strain screw backed out just playing around with trigger weight). As of now I still have the stock mainspring installed, since I don’t reload, I’m hesitant to change it out for fear of light strikes on ammo…. Any input in this area would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Decided I want to give “Revolver” a shot next year in USPSA, and picked up a 4” 627. Been doing quite a bit of research on chamfering the cylinder and decided to give it a shot. This will be a moonclip only gun. Been tweaking it to fit my preferences and will be putting in quite a bit of dry practice (and live fire) this winter in anticipation for the spring! Looking forward to spending some time in this area of the forum as I’m about as green as can be when it comes to wheel guns and competition (and iron sights!)
  7. Old post, but I’m having the same problem just vice versa…. I can log in via phone on my WiFi, but if using my cell data it shows me as being banned.
  8. Thanks! Another beat ya to it by a few minutes! I was looking on my phone… Knowing that is pretty embarrassing considering I’m 32 and should be pretty tech savvy…
  9. Member here was kind enough to find my number! Finally logged back in. Registered for the Miamisburg, OH shoot on July 30th. Thanks again!
  10. I’ve only shot the one match listed in the comment above. Can’t seem to find my member number there. I emailed USPSA this morning, but am afraid a local match honoring a fallen local LE is going to fill before I can sign up which is why I’m inquiring here.
  11. Oxford OH, Practiscore advises OHS05 It was on 11/07/21. Apologies, new to this. That was the only match I’ve shot and haven’t shot since. Attempting to get back into it… I was listed 20th overall on that match, “Boggs, E” In my dashboard on practiscore I can’t locate my member number either which I thought I could, however my membership expired and was renewed since that match.
  12. It doesn’t appear I can without my member number unless I’m missing something? It asks for the number and then password. There’s only a “forgot password” prompt, not “forgot member number” I just renewed my membership a month or so ago and searching through my emails, I got the receipt for payment but cannot find one email (out of several) where it advises of my number and I no longer have the physical card that was mailed first go round in 2021.
  13. I cannot for the life of me find my USPSA member number. I’ve only shot one match in the past and since renew I cannot find my number anywhere, even on Practiscore on the one match I shot… Can someone help me retrieve it? Thanks
  14. Just ordered an LPA adjustable rear for my 929. I am wanting to order a DP front fiber optic sight for it and I can't find any information as to what would be a good height to go with. I was thinking either .300 or .350 Anyone have experience with this setup and what height did you go with?
  15. Thanks guys, sounds like there's still hope it'll show up...Someday... Wish I didnt like it so much more than my pocket pro!
  16. Thanks everyone, I wouldn’t mind so much if they’d just respond to me. But two unanswered emails is aggravating.

    LTT holster

I run a JM Custom Kydex R/C holster on a BOSS hanger for all my berettas (rail or no rail). It’s in their quick ship section so should only take a week or two to ship.
  18. I know times are weird right now and AMG is/was estimating an 8 week ETA on their timers, but I’m at 14 weeks now and have emailed them twice in the last two weeks and have heard nothing. Just inquiring on new estimates ETA. Have ALOT of friends who love their timers and I know they’re quality. Just curious on wait time and wish they’d get back with me…
  19. I'm a Beretta 92 fan/shooter in production but am thinking of trying a bit of SS shooting this coming year, as I have a soft spot for the 1911... Been years since I've owned one, and this was the first range session with one after getting my holster and belt set up. Only have one mag carrier at the moment, will be ordering 5 or so more in the near future if I decide to go forward with running it. A bit slow and sloppy in the following videos, but ran through some drills just to get acquainted with the platform. Alot to work on and identified some real weaknesses here. If you guys see anything glaring definitely offer up some pointers! Some Four Aces at roughly 7 yards... (all videos are roughly 7 yards, but I just quickly walked them out, so could be 6ish really). Really need to work on reloads. That magwell opening is a tad smaller than what Im used to! Also having trouble pushing the mag release button, will be replacing with an extended one. Couple Bill Drills... Gun isn't pointing "naturally" for me yet...First shot on both strings was high, was able to adjust for subsequent shots. Shot a few El Presidente's.... My turns still suck... Mag change was a bit sloppy and got hung up... Finished off with a few -not quite to standard- FAST drills. Definitely forced the head shots, wasn't getting great sight picture(s) hence the first string going high, and second going low in the head box...
  20. Appreciate the feedback everyone, sounds like I’ll just pick up another 45 for a backup. The new Springfield loaded target 45 is pretty close to the Trophy Match, would send it off to be checkered, but other than that almost a twin.
  21. Still relatively new to the USPSA world and have spent my time in CO or Production up until now. I recently picked up a Springfield Trophy Match and want to shoot a bit of SS this coming season. I've seen a lot of people running minor (mostly 9mm) in SS, and speaking with some of these shooters, I get answers from, "Major is the way to go," to "Minor is just as competitive now," to "well, it depends on the match." My question is, do any of you -or is it even a thing- to have a Major -and- Minor 1911, or would you keep your platforms the same? I'm assuming, but I can't find it in the rulebook, that you wouldn't be able to flip flop depending on stage between major and minor SS guns...? I also -maybe- see the benefit of training with a 9mm 1911, but shooting your 45acp 1911 in competition... Any thoughts on this? ...Or am I overthinking this and just sound stupid?
  22. Bought new. Unfortunately it’s the only Glock I own at the moment. However I had two g34 gen5’s last year, both blue label that had dot connectors. This one I purchased NON blue label as they’re unavailable at the moment. It has a minus connector.
  23. My 34 gen5 came with a minus as most seem to do unless it’s blue label. Timney responded to my email very promptly and advised they believe the trigger bar is out of spec. They are sending me a replacement, so we will see! Appreciate all the responses fellas, will let y’all know if the new trigger bar is a fix. If not I’ll be looking into a few more mods.
  24. Just checked and appears to be seated properly. Here is another theory. Below is my pistol, I’ve seen the circled area mentioned before, where the trigger bar cant go far enough rearward to release the striker. I can, but I think it’s VERY close. I’m wondering if I relieve this slightly, if it would allow the trigger bar to move further rearward and in turn, lowering MORE when it disengages the striker. It may be JUST enough to release the striker, but not enough to completely get out of the way…. Does that make any sense?
  25. I’ll give this a try. Thanks!
