  1. I know there’s a lot of posts here about the Timney Glock trigger, and I think I’ve read them all. Unless I missed this issue, which I very well may have, I haven’t seen it brought up here, but elsewhere online with no real “good” reasons or remedies given. Running an otherwise stock G34 gen5 in terms of striker, striker spring etc…I’m getting WAY to many light primer strikes….first time I took the gun out, I ended my range session as I couldn’t do a Bill Drill without a click no bang… One guy online said he polished tue top of the trigger bar, theorizing the striker was dragging upon release and it fixed his issue, I did the same, and it DID help, but not fix the issue 100%. Maybe I just need to take a little more material off…. I reached out to Timney but haven’t heard back yet. Anyone else know what’s going on here?
  2. Correct, mag release, as stated above.
  3. I shoot a gen 5 with mag release in stock position (left side) I release mag by shifting my grip and using my trigger finger. I am not a fan of switching the mag release to the right side. However, sometimes I find it hard to aggressively shift my grip enough to actuate the release, be it due to the aggressive stippling or grip enhancer normally used during matches. Anyone have an idea what extended mag release would help maybe move some of the buttons real estate forward to allow a more consistent release without shifting grip too much rearward?
  4. Years ago I used them, the cut for my RMR was off… After a few back and forth emails, they opted to replace my OEM slide with one of their pre-cut slides. I’d say this was 4-5 years ago maybe? For direct milling Ive used Jagerwerks, LM Precision, Battleworx, Delta Stategic, DP custom….All were great. Have used Jagerwerks SEVERAL times.
  5. Well, have seen a lot of posts on here lately about adding weight to their glocks….I figured, since I can’t leave anything alone and I like to tinker, I would give it a shot. Found tungsten putty and tungsten weights at Hobby Lobby for pinewood derby cars, I placed a weight in, and then PACKED the putty to fill all voids before inserting another weight and repeating the process. I was hoping I could get ATLEAST 5oz by doing this. I only achieved 3.5oz, leaving a little room to seal everything in with some JB weld putty to form a mag funnel. It’s kind of crazy how you can feel the difference of only 3.5oz in your hand, however I’m sure once I shoot it the difference will be minimal. BUT it’s better than spending $160 on the CHPWS brass “speed feed” and I’m basically an extra ounce over that for less than 1/3 the cost. Also ordered a GS tungsten 34 guide rod to add a little more weight. I could add a few more small weights up front if I carefully dremel’d them flush in the dust cover, but idk if that would be worth the time for the minimal difference. Anyway, here was my attempt!
  6. FCD is my go to. They make QUALITY stuff…. I’m running them on my 34 MOSs with SRO’s. I refuse to buy CHPWS out of personal reasons anymore, and I believe the FCD plates are of better quality anyway after using the CH plates for quite some time.
  7. Moving to carry optics, tried to look this up here but can’t find an answer. Really like the look of the ZEV +5 Glock base pads but am wondering if they’re too long for CO division and their 140mm rule. Anyone running these and can confirm they are in regulation?
  8. Relatively new to swapping internals on glocks, but for the -quick- unverified internet record, I am not a novice in the gun game. However, when it comes to competition, and the knowledge here, I’m a newbie! I have a Glock 19, RMR’d with KKM barrel/comp combo...yes, it’s a Roland Special copy. I know there is a ton out there on these, but most are “picture threads” with intermittent useful knowledge that’s few and far between posts. My gun runs fine with hot ammo and SD ammo as expected... Will not run with 15# recoil spring with stock internals using Range ammo (115-124gr ball). Question: I am planning on trying a 13# RSA with a 4# striker spring and Zev skeletonized striker (for range use). Has as anyone tried this setup? Does reducing the RSA that much and using Range ammo cancel out all benefit of the comp? I understand there’s not as much gas to really get the full benefit of the comp, but I’m not wanting the recoil to be more noticeable due to the slide moving faster....if I’m tracking correctly. Thanks in advance!
  9. Nice user name, this sight setup is actually going on a Hi Power im getting worked over by Don Williams.
  10. I usually use a .105 FO front with .135 rear....I'm having a pistol worked on and am having a heinie ledge rear put on .156 rear notch, with a .115 fo front.... This will be a speed/steel gun....I've never had any experience with this sight setup and am now having second thoughts...do you think it will be much different than what I'm used to? Too much?
  11. Without knowing all of the rules etc. yet, I would probably stay in Production and run my Duty weapon..I need to read and understand the holster situation, trying to see if my duty holster would be legal. ha!Are you a police officer? Yes sir, very new to the force and it is not full time, but its a start!

  13. Hello everyone, I am new here and am looking to get involved in USPSA...I am just north of Dayton, OH. I was referred here from another forum and was assured you guys could help me out. Not sure if there's anywhere near me to shoot USPSA other than I think Miamisburg? Anyway, hopefully this isnt a double post as I tried to post earlier and it didnt seem to work. Hoping to learn alot here! E.
