I had an old (non-EVO) PT grip in Standard and currently have 2 EVO Aggressive. I just ordered an Extra Aggressive. Unless you don't sweat, avoid the Standard

For those of you reloading fully processed brass, do you still run the brass through the sizing die in station 1? I suppose I could also remove the decapping rod and leave the die in place.

Do not take it personal please, that is and was never my intention.
It is just a personal preference. I know that Atlas open are not cheap. I don’t own one because of that reason.
I don’t shoot open. I shoot limited because that is what I can do. Once you get to the open class, prices are very competitive/high. I am not there yet.Read the title of the thread : asking for OPEN gun preferences. You don't shoot an Open gun. When someone asks LIMITED gun prefs, we'll take a mental note that you like Atlas. Until then....
Back to the original question. Like RGC, I also ordered a Honcho (9 and 38 SC). If it shoots as well as my other Open guns that were significantly more money, the pricing structure of Open guns will be heavily scrutinized

We all have preferences right? The same way you pass others may not.
Your made the comment that Atlas is "way cheaper than SVI" . Atlas custom base is 6900.
I own neither SVI or Atlas guns. Do you even shoot Open?

Lots of GOOD opinions on this subject. Why SVI when you can get an Atlas way sooner for way less money? Atlas is an amazing company with excellent products, reliable and the best...CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE....Am I biased? Yeah...Atlas Gunworks.
Really curious to see what you have to sell once you get out of classified purgatory.
And by the way, the prices of Atlas open guns are easily north of 8K these days. Pass

Did you go with the aggressive or Extra aggressive grip texture?

...I’m more irritated about the metal grip aspect. I’ve now got an open gun that has no warranty because it’s wearing a metal grip, something that did not void the warranty last week...If you have a warranty issue, put the original plastic grip back on or buy a new one. And delete this post!!

I think the drawing on 19-02 has some goofy perspective thing going on. I thought the walls ran right along the fault lines at Nationals.
Correct.
From the written description of the classifier:
"Uprange walls placed right against faultline."

I can't speak for corny. If he finds it offensive It would up to him to PM you and discuss it. It's not quarreling to ask for a clarification of information. It makes a big difference if a person is talking from personal experience or is making an assumption. In this case, corny is one of the people who bought and tried the unit.
I know Corny and rest assured, it is going to take a whole lot more than this to offend him. Regardless, can the majority of users objectively support the notion that the product is well engineered? I have nothing but respect for Saul/DAA and their willingness to innovate but in this case...the Emperor has no clothes

Tens of thousands of CCI and Win SPP and SRP. I have never cleaned my RF100 nor do I see a need to do so. Guess I got a good one

Was the title of the thread not a big enough clue??

Why? If they had thoroughly tested the product before release none of this would have happened.
This.
I have a bunch of DAA products. Belt and Racemaster pouches/holster still perform well. However, I would summarize many of their recent efforts as: good ideas, mediocre (at best) execution, cheapest material possible

Yes, typo! Edited my post thanks for the heads up!

Ok looked this up, and read description says it comes with the failsafe powder kit for the 550,,, I had assumed it went in the powder measure,,, why does it come with the powder measure upgrade ? I have both old and new style measures on various tool heads, Never dont anythign with this tool, as I most certainly didnt upgrade my measures,, Too clunky and jerkey , I like the old style with springs better. Works fine
the tool is inserted in the powder die (without a powder measure). If you have never changed platform or had alignment issues, there would have been no need for you to use it for powder measure changes.
I broke a ring indexer a while ago. Called Dillon. They sent me the tool because you need to remove the platform to change the indexer. When re-installing the platform, tool helps with alignment

If it is a 650, break everything down and clean it. Then realign your platform using the alignment tool. Fixed. I just went through this. If it is not a 650, good luck...

I have dry tumbled with both walnut and corncob. There is dust with both. I resisted switching to wet for too long.
FART, no pins, cheap food dehydrator.
2.5 hours. Done. Minimal effort.

The truth is I've shot 38 Super & 38 Supercomp for roughly 12 years prior to trying a 9 major gun, so I've gotten used to a certain recoil impulse. And I obviously have all the equipment nessecery to load 38, so I've just been kinda easing into the 9 major setup.
But yes the recoil is very similar. Is it exactly the same? That's up for debate. Allot of things go into the "feel" of recoil/impulse (bullet weight, powder type, spring setup, gun weight, shooter grip, etc.) But the way the HONCHO works with the linkless barrel makes it so soft, it almost doesn't even feel like it's truly 9 MAJOR, but it is. 38 Supercomp has a little snappier feel to it (could just be the fact I prefer 115 gr bullets) so it feels more like major, but again, the feel of any guns recoil is so subjective that could still just be me comparing that feel to my old 38 Supercomp Open guns.
YMMV
Chris, are you using the same bullet and powder for 38 and 9?

Im seriously considering getting a Honcho with a 9 mm major open barrel and 40 sight block barrels only. I currently run a Brazos 38 Super Open pistol and STI Edge .40 Limited major. These would be my backups to the Honcho. My question is if the 9mm major has the same recoil impulse as a 38 Super comp why would you run a 38 super comp barrel instead of 9mm major all the time? Thanks
Great question that I am curious about as well. I have a Honcho on order with both 9mm and 38sc barrels (couldn't pass up the holiday sale). Is there a perceived difference in reliability, prompting the use of 38 at Major matches?
