  1. That did it bob. A small squeeze in a vice and a little file work did the trick.
  2. Thanks bob. I'll try and dig up the info on the mags.
  3. I finally decided on getting the Dawson Ice magwell and the +3 tool less base pads for my XDm .40 5.25". Well, one of the basepads fit well on the magazine. I can get it off and on with no problems. The others are so damn tight, I basically had to hammer them on. I finally got them off after a bunch of cussing and torn up hands. Did I get a couple duds, or do you have to fit these things? I hit the bottom edges of the magazines with a little sandpaper, but it didn't help. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to send these things back? I doubt they will take them back as scratched up as they are. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
  4. I live off of Hwy 105... It dang sure got my attention this morning! Well, between that, and sleet hitting the window all night long...
  5. I replaced the front sight on my spartan with a Dawson sight. What should have been a simple project resulted in me hammering the shit out of it to get it out. Scratched it up pretty good. Should have taken it to a smith, which I am not! Or, sent it to Dawson as mentioned above.
  6. Skunkape is my nickname the guys at work call me... I'm 6'6'' and around 325lbs.. Can't imagine why? And I was born in 71.
  7. I'm following! I'm shooting my first action pistol match this weekend... I'm admittedly a terrible shot... And I'm sure I'll look like a fool out there, but everyone started at the bottom before! I'm lost on most of the stuff you're talking about with the timer, but the only way I'm going to learn is to jump into the deep end! Good luck, and keep practicing!
  8. Hey guys, ran across this forum while getting my gear together for my first USPSA match in October. Great site with tons of good info! Looking forward to getting up in the mix of things!
