We’re you ever able to find replacements for you 14-45? This is one of the reasons I put mine out to pasture in another persons house.

"to pasture in another person's house"....love it!

The only difference in p-14 and p-16 is barrel and breach face.

New gun, maybe 300 rounds.  Probably 75 slugs or so and the rest is bird shot.  Running Fiocchi 7/8 oz target loads and JM 3gun loads.

Jammed on me twice today within about 5 shells.  The shell didn't feed all the way and caught the edge and jammed.

I was shooting pretty fast, running speed drills and target transitions at 10 yards.  I shouldn't need to clean it yet...  too hot from rapid firing?  Just doesn't like Fiocchi JM 3gun loads?  Needs an action job/polish?

This is my first semi-auto shotgun...  a bit concerned considering what I paid.

    Thoughts?

Every auto shotgun I've delt with needed the extractor notch rounded to prevent an average (or worse) crimp from catching.  AA's and their perfect crimps are not an issue, but normal aka Walmart shells need a little help.

how much help - look at the step down on the rest of the chamber edge  and match that on the extractor cut edge.

  3. Thanks guys!  Not really interested in the 'big butt' part of the grip.  I'll find a used set of target grips and have at it.  I think this will be a fun winter project and maybe come up with a one-of-a-kind.

     See you at the match!

We just started looking at the stages, scoring is time plus points, but 1 a/b or 2 anywhere.  Not sure how we accrue points?

  5. I am planning to shoot this match. It is good to have a match starting up close to home. I know the match director for the inaugural match, he is a good guy and a 3 gunner, so I am sure the match will be good.

    Hurley

The rules are basically the same for this match as we are used to, except they haven't totally finalized HM yet. I've discovered the 3 Gun Nation Heavy Sport rules, and am having more fun with these rules than any other. Are you shooting HM for this match? Have any comments about HM rules?

  6. When looking in the rules for largest shot size, I found a couple of items.

5.5.7 All rounds loaded in the shotgun prior to the start signal must be of the same configuration (i.e. wad,
velocity, propelant, pellet weight, pellet size, length, etc.). Violations may be subject o Rule 10.6.1.
So if you stack some different loads in your preload, it's a match DQ for unsportsmanlike.
    Appendix E1: Ammunition
    17. The Match Director and/or the Range Master may restrict the ammuniton to be used to certain
maximum shot sizes or certain types for reasons of safety. Any such requirement is to be advised
    prior to the match dates.
I'm good to go with whatever, all the big match rules I looked at was #6 max, but I'll be bringing some #4's just in case.
